The media could not be loaded. Does the job. Accurate. Durable. Good quality. Labeled so you can keep everything organized and comes with good spare parts. I really don’t know how much more you can ask for, especially given the reasonable price. I’ve done a three minute review so you can see everything, but it’s one handed and not the best, so for you woodworkers out there I’ve also attached a lot of photos of this thing so you can see everything. It uses two set screws — one that mates to the cutting heads and another that holds the depth stop assembly — and you do have to crank it down to prevent movement. But it’s all metal and that seems to work great. I used it to drop proper depth into 3/4 plywood (prefinished birch) for a cabinet project and it worked like a charm and game me nice squared up stops. So, that’s all I can give you. Hope it helps someone out.

I was able to set the 2 depths to where I wanted it and it worked fine. However, the supplied allen wrench rounded off after just a snug tightening. I had to use my own (better) allen wrench after that.

Solid set for $16. I don't think anyone should confuse this for a heavy duty, long term kit. This is a weekend warrior, occasional project kit. It is excellent at that price, for that purpose. They include an extra stop ring, which means it likely fails, but them including a second is an acceptable way to extend the life and lower manufacturing costs. If you smash this down into your board, it will leave a mild mark that can be removed with water to bounce the dented wood fibers back up, or a light sanding with 220. It's not on a bearing, so it floats, and therefore is pressure sensitive. I also love that they include the wrench and extra set screws. Those set screws can be easily lost when changing the bits out. At $16-$30, this kit makes sense, and even more so if you need a variety of sizes. If it hits $40... well, if you only need one size then there are higher end options. We will see how this is doing in two years, but if it lasts 3 larger projects over that time it will have been worth it.

Did not realize how much I would be using this. You do have to make three adjustment to use. (1) select bit thickness, (2) select drill depth, (3) select countersink depth. Bits are sharp so take care on step (1). Step (2) and (3) require two separate adjustments using an Allen wrench with tiny set screws. So there is a setup “cost” in time but once done, production of countersink holes is consistent and easy and just makes your finished product look that much better.

These bits are wonderful. Much cheaper than the name brand version, and they seem to work just as well. I've used them to drill about 30 holes so far, and they have all been exactly the same depth with no marks on the surface. The storage box is well built and holds everything securely when not in use. It's also nice to have the sizes marked on the storage location so you can get the correct plug the first time. All in all, I'd recommend this set to any home hobby woodworker.
