I have a grandson who loves S.T.E.M. projects. This is one that he enjoyed putting together. There are 5 models to create. A robot, crane, space car, boxer, and dragon. The 688 pieces was a challenge, but he mastered them. Once complete, more fun. The models can be operated by remote control or app control. This is a creative and educational toy for my 12 year old.

We love building blocks, so when I saw this, I was super excited to give it to my 11 year old. The directions are somewhat easy to follow, but we did have some issues finding parts to build the robot. Now, I will say that my 11 year old did get to a point where he was getting bored with all the pieces, and my 15 year old ended up coming in and finishing it up. I’d say the age range would probably need to be older, not to mention that the pieces can be a pain to get together. Overall, it does what it says and there are multiple options. There was some pieces that may have been missing, but we were still able to work around it and it did end up being a fun day. I would recommend it because it’s the first buildable robot we’ve had that did end up working, even with a few hiccups. I just wouldn’t recommend getting it for anyone that’s under 12, unless they have the room to slowly build it or have the patience to rework pieces if they need to.

My nephew had to work pretty hard to get it all built, which is surprising because it says ages 6+ and he is 10 and smart, but he had a lot of fun with it and got the robot to do all sorts of fun things. Will post a video soon.
