I'm actually using this for a dish pan, after enquiring thru "Rufus" if that was something it would be good for. Apparently others do the same. My plastic dish pans were hard to keep clean, they would get a residue and you really couldn't scrub it out. This stainless steel bin cleans very well, looks better, it's deep, holds plenty of water but is a couple of inches narrower than a regular dish pan, which is actually a bonus, more room in the sink. ... show more

I bought this to make it easier to change water for my dogs. Had a big clunky pan that was hard to dump and clean in summer but next to impossible during winter. I like that I can handle this easily and carry water from my kitchen to the porch in winter. Don’t have to worry now if the hose is frozen.
