I already had these in a right-handed version so when my daughter needed a left-hand set it was a no-brainer. Cheap shears are usually stamped steel that are too light and have a lot of flex. Better shears are cast steel with machining to clean up the blades and joints, but are often rushed and sloppy. These shears have clean, smooth lines and the blades and joint are well-machined. Overall the scissors have good balance and so far they hold a sharp edge very well. We spent a long time looking for scissors online, but couldn’t find any of the recommended Japanese steel brands. However these ones popped up as a possible option meeting many of the criteria and so far they’ve worked great for cutting my own and my kids hair. They’re deceptively sharp because the ends are rounded, but if you clip yourself it’s very easy to get a cut. They don’t cut as smoothly or effortlessly (they push the hair as they cut vs easily cutting the hair on the line as you’re holding) as the videos often show, but stacking that up to skill of the stylist and not the scissors. I cut men’s hair with these shears. I know good shears from junk ones due to my many years in the dog grooming business . You usual get what you pay for, but this time I didn't have to spend $300 plus. They are good shears. Trust me. Remember: do NOT drop any pair of shears and never use them to cut anything other than hair, and make sure to use the tool to tighten the shears that come with these shears.     • These warp and stop cutting

I loved these why I first got them. They are very sharp and feel good in your hand. After about five months they started to warp so that they do not cut very well. I only use them on my kids twice a month, and I store them in the provided sleeve inside of a protective case.
