  • Tac Lite Pants
Size: 16 Long Color: Black
I don't work in law enforcement but I do work with dogs outside of my regular job. I bought these pants to wear while I'm training dogs and they seem to be good for that. I've had other tactical pants and these are slightly different, but mostly along the same lines. These tactical pants seem to be made well and I think they will hold up with the rigors of life and work. These pants do seem to run small*. I bought the same size I buy in other pants and these are really tight - gives me a reason to lose some weight. They are also low rise, which I didn't notice in the details. So, if you don't like low rise pants, or you're not ready to wear really tight ones, these might not be for you. I would have given these five stars if they weren't low rise and were more true to size. ... show more

  • Some styles and sizes compared.
Size: 4 Color: Dark Navy
My organization recently changed our uniform pants to dark navy tactical style. Most of us are somewhat older so things don't fit the way they did when we were 25. I tried four pairs of 5.11 pants in three different styles before I found one I liked. I'm 65 years old, 5'6", 118 pounds, 28" waist, 36" hips, skinny legs. I normally wear a size 4. 1. TacLite Pro # 64360, size 4 R. These were unflattering on me. The legs were wide for my skinny thighs. They have an elastic waist in the back. The distance from the top of the back belt loop to the center seam was 12.25". 2. Stryke #64386, size 4 R. These looked fantastic on me but they absolutely were lowriders. I had to keep pulling them up and that was before attaching all the junk I normally carry. My normal web belt wouldn't close. The fabric was the heaviest of the three styles I tried. The back pockets have flaps, making it difficult to quickly put things in them. The distance from the top of the back belt loop to the center seam was 11.75". 3. ABR Pro #64445, size 4 R. These fit nicely in the front and the waist was comfortable and sufficiently high (above the hip bones) but there was way too much room in the seat for me (I don't have much of a rear end) so it looked like I was wearing droopy drawers. The distance from the top of the back belt loop to the center seams was 13.5". 4. ABR Pro #64445, size 2 L. This is the pair that worked for me even though I'm normally a size 4. The fit is sufficiently flattering (not frumpy like the TacLite Pros but not as sharp as the Stryke lowriders.) They're a little too long and I may hem them. They fit above the hip bones and slightly below the natural waist just like the size 4 pair. The distance from the top of the back belt loop to the center seams is 13.125". ... show more

  • Good pants , no stretch
Size: 10 Color: Dark Navy
The pants are great. Enough pockets for any and everything lol. However there isn’t much of a stretch unless you go a size up. I ordered an 8 (I’m usually between a 6 -8) and I feel like I could’ve went up to a 10 just for the wiggle room. I was able to put tights on underneath with no problem though. They’re water resistant which is great in ems work. ... show more

  • Runs a little small.
Size: 14 Color: Dark Navy
I liked these pants but they are a tad too small, I even sized up. I have some other 5.11 in a different style that are size 12, so I ordered a 14 they fit they are just tight in the waistband area. I will keep them as a back up pair. I ordered a 16, so update on how they fit coming soon.

  • Exactly as stated
Size: 12 Long Color: Tdu Khaki
I love these pants. I'm a nurse and I like to wear uniform pants instead of scrub pants but I'm tall and have a hard time finding uniform pants that have cargo pockets that are long enough. These are perfect; long enough, true to size(understand they are not stretch material), wrinkle free, tightly woven fabric. They have shrunk a little bit but I don't like doing laundry and I won't keep anything that requires special treatments for laundering. I decided to begin their life with me the way they will live. Lol, so they have been washed many times in warm water and dried until completely dry in the dryer. Shrinking happened, but very minimal. Slightly lower waist in the front that looks flat and really good over my belly pooch. In the back the waistband is low when squatting, but there are 3 beltloops back there close together that keep them from gapping. So no showing of skin. Overall these pants create a very attractive form to my lower body while remaining functional and keeping a more professional appearance than some scrub pants don't do. After many washings and drying they still look great. I like my pants to stay as they are because I'm a triangle shape and I like my pants to form my lower half,, so I don't like stretch denim. I gave them a 4 for comfort simply because if you want to feel like you aren't wearing anything, you won't think these are comfortable. The fabric isn't horrible tough, but it is a work pants type fabric that doesn't stretch. The elastic in the waistband is also made to last for hard work and the pants are fitting, so if that's not something you like then don't get these. Overall I think these are exactly as the company states they are, and that's not something I find often but something I want. These are good pants! ... show more

  • Awkward fit, size up
Size: 10 Color: Tdu Green
After reading a lot of reviews mentioning to size up in the pants, I ordered two pairs of pants. The first pair I ordered was one size larger than my usual size, and the second was two sizes larger than my usual size. The first pair didn’t fit at all. It was tight in the hip and butt area, and was like a parachute in the legs. The second pair I could actually button, but was still considerably tight in the hip and butt section with the same parachute pant at the bottom. I am 5’4” and a little curvy so I expected the pants to be a little long, and that is fine, but the overall fit is just not very good. If I go yet another size larger then the hip/butt area will fit well, but the waist will be too big and the bottom of the pants will no doubt be even wider for my fit. All that being said, there are very few options I’ve found for a tactical pant and I’m content with just finding some in general. If you are used to the uncomfortableness of this type of pant then you should be fine. I’m sure once I knock a percent or two of body fat off and hem the pants I’ll love them. I usually wear a size 8 in pants/dresses. I ordered a 10 and 12, but I would recommend sizing 2-3 sizes larger than you normally wear. ... show more
