  • Fantastic!
Set name: 13-in-1 Dock for Mac mini M4 & M4 Pro
This is exactly what my Mac Mini needed! This dock eliminates all the shortcomings my Mac Mini had ... I now have plenty of USB-A ports ( I am not sure why Apple completely went away from them , there are still so many devices with USB-A out there) ... I have 2 'dongles' that I need and had to use adapters for it (see picture 'before') now I don't need that anymore and have ports to spare (see picture 'after') and I have an extra HDMI port for a second monitor ... But the very best is the NVME M.2 drive bay! I had bought my Mac Mini with 512 Gb of storage and I was running out quickly ... not anymore! I added a 2Tb drive easily and it is working great! Just got it. It’s looks great. I’ll make a follow up in about a week when I plug it in to my Mac mini.

  • A Really Useful Upgrade for a Mac Mini Setup
This 13-in-1 dock is a really convenient way to expand a Mac Mini setup without having a bunch of separate adapters and accessories all over the desk. The compatibility with the Mac Mini M4 is a big plus, and the overall design fits nicely into a compact workstation. The biggest advantage is definitely the amount of connectivity and ports you get in one place. It gives you extra options for connecting displays, storage, USB devices, memory cards, and other accessories without constantly swapping cables around. For a small desktop setup, that makes everything feel a lot more organized and functional. I also really like the M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure. Being able to add extra storage directly into the dock is much cleaner than having another external drive sitting beside the Mac Mini. Supporting up to 8TB also gives you a lot of room to expand depending on what you’re using the computer for. Setup is pretty straightforward, and once everything is connected, it’s easy to use. The ports are conveniently placed, and I haven’t had issues with devices randomly disconnecting or needing to be constantly reconnected. Transfer speeds have also been good for the files and accessories I’ve used with it, which is important if you’re using external storage regularly. Pros: * Compatible with Mac Mini M4 * 13-in-1 design adds a lot of connectivity * Plenty of useful ports * Built-in M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure * Supports large storage expansion * Helps reduce desk clutter * Easy to set up and use * Good connection stability * Fast enough for everyday file transfers and external storage * Makes a compact Mac Mini setup much more functional Cons: * Make sure your specific SSD and connected devices are compatible before setting everything up * With this many ports, cable management can still get a little busy depending on your setup Overall: This is a really practical accessory if you’re using a Mac Mini as your main workstation. It adds more ports, more storage flexibility, and much better connectivity without needing several separate hubs and drives. The SSD enclosure is probably my favorite feature because it keeps extra storage integrated into the setup instead of adding another device to the desk. Overall, it’s easy to use, functional, and a really nice way to get more out of a Mac Mini. ... show more

  • A must have for your Mac mini!
Set name: 13-in-1 Dock for Mac mini M4 & M4 Pro
Item came just as described and neatly packaged. Always wanted one of these for my Mac mini because without it it’s pretty limited on what type of peripherals I can use or add to my system.

  • Adds a ton of useful ports
This is a really useful addition to a newer Mac mini especially if you're constantly plugging in drives, memory cards and other accessories. It sits underneath the Mac mini and keeps everything looking much cleaner than having several separate hubs and adapters scattered around the desk. Functionality is definitely the biggest strength here. You get two USB-A 3.2 ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, USB-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, SD and microSD card slots along with HDMI and DisplayPort. It gives me somewhere to connect just about everything I normally use without constantly reaching around the Mac mini. The built in M.2 NVMe enclosure makes the dock even more useful. It supports 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 NVMe drives with capacities up to 8TB. The SSD isn't included which is worth knowing ahead of time. I actually like being able to choose my own drive though since I can decide how much storage I need and what SSD I trust. Display connectivity is also impressive. DisplayPort supports up to 4K at 144Hz while HDMI supports up to 4K at 60Hz. That gives you plenty of flexibility for a multi monitor workstation. I'd still check the display limitations of your specific Mac mini before planning out three monitors since the computer itself ultimately determines what combinations it can drive. The faster connections support up to 10Gbps which is plenty for moving larger files to compatible storage. Not every USB port runs at that speed though. I use the slower USB 2.0 connections for things like a keyboard and mouse then leave the faster ports available for storage where the extra bandwidth actually matters. I also appreciate that the dock is designed around the Mac mini instead of simply being a generic hub. It matches the footprint nicely and keeps the power button accessible. That sounds like a small detail until you've dealt with accessories that make an already awkward power button even harder to reach. At $79.99 I think the value for money is good considering how much functionality is packed into one device. A separate NVMe enclosure, card reader, USB hub, display adapter and stand can quickly turn into a pile of accessories. Having most of those functions combined into one unit makes more sense for my desk and cuts down on cable clutter. If you're only connecting a keyboard and mouse to your Mac mini this is probably more functionality than you'll ever need. For a full desktop workstation though it's a really convenient little expansion hub. The NVMe storage option is what pushes it over the top for me since it solves both my storage expansion and connectivity needs with one device. ... show more

  • Solid ports and storage upgrade for a Mac mini M4 desk setup
I picked this up to clean up the port situation on my Mac mini M4, which is maxed out and running as my main desktop. Between an SSD, a couple of displays, and the usual keyboard and card reader clutter, I was tired of juggling separate adapters and hubs on the desk. This dock sits right underneath the mini and holds its shape without shifting around every time you plug something in or pull it out. The two things that mattered most to me were the extra ports and the internal NVMe bay. It takes an M.2 drive up to 8TB, drive not included, so budget for that separately, and getting one installed only took a few minutes with the screws and driver that come in the box. Once it was in, moving a large batch of files over the faster 10Gbps USB connection was noticeably quicker than the external drive it replaced, and the slower USB ports are still there for things like a keyboard or mouse where speed doesn't matter much. Video out covers DisplayPort at 4K and 144Hz plus HDMI at 4K and 60Hz, so running dual external monitors off it has been smooth, no flickering or dropped signal so far. The power button lines up with the one on the underside of the mini itself, which sounds like a small thing until you've spent months reaching around the back of the machine to restart it. The one tradeoff worth knowing going in is that connecting it ties up one of the mini's higher speed ports, so if you had other plans for full Thunderbolt bandwidth on that same port, think through your setup first. For a desk with a couple of monitors, some external storage, and the usual mix of peripherals though, this has made a compact machine feel like a real workstation instead of something I'm constantly working around. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality Product
I previously used a Satechi dock for my Mac Mini M2 and was looking around for a reasonably-priced dock for a Mac Mini M4. Note that some docks in this price range connect through a single Thunderbolt port, so I was initially dubious about giving up a second Thunderbolt port on the Mac. However, Reddit and Amazon reviewers of other docks report issues related to insufficient power with single-port-connection docks. Anyway, my criteria for a dock were a reasonable number and variety of ports, an SSD storage option, and sufficient allowance for cooling. In an air-conditioned room, the M4 stays cool, ranging from 104 degrees F. at wakeup to 115 F. at light use to 140 F. under a heavier load (multiple apps open, use later in the day here in August, etc.). The main Mac HDD hovered around 95 F. to 100 F. According to the Macs Fan Control app (highly recommended), the internal fan never gets above the minimum 1000 RMP. Installing a Samsung 1 TB NVRAM SSD was easy, with 4URPC providing a small screwdriver, screws, and a thermal pad (unlike the Satechi dock). I also appreciated the side-mounted power switch for the M4, even though I rarely power it off. Although I didn't run any formal disk benchmark tests, I did a few file copy tests. 6000 files totaling 1.4GB copied from the SSD to a USB-connected external Crucial MX500 500GB drive took about 3 minutes over the 10GB USB port. Copying 5000 files totally 5GB connected over the USB 2.0 connection took about 5 or so minutes. Totally acceptable. Note: the front USB ports were a little snug - to my mind, preferable to a loose connection, especially if you are keeping USB devices connected for daily use. I didn't test the DP video connector but the USB-C and HDMI display connections worked as expected. Overall, in this price range, I consider the 4URPC dock a bit of a steal. ... show more

  • Nice Dock but uses 2 Thunderbolt Ports
This 4URPC Mac Mini Dock allows you to connect three displays to the M4 Mac Mini and adds several USB ports and a slot for an NVME SSD. There are also slots to insert a SD and Micro SD cards on the side of the unit. An additional nice to have feature is the power button in the back corner that mechanically presses the power button on the underside or the M4 Mac Mini. This makes it much easier to power on your Mac when the Dock is attached. The Dock fits snuggly onto the bottom of the Mac Mini and has rubber feet on the (plastic) bottom of the Dock to keep the Dock+Mac from sliding around on your desk. The biggest benefit of the dock is to expand the storage of your Mac Mini using the internal NVME slot, but all the USB and SD ports make it a convenient way to plug in peripherals and external storage devices while minimizing the clutter on tour desktop. The cons for this dock are the following: - The cable uses two of the three available Thunderbolt ports on the Mac Mini. There are numerous other docks that seem to provide similar functionality using only one port. I am assuming that this was done to provide maximum speeds for the NVME drive, but the drive that I tested the dock with is an older drive that - You can already connect three displays to an M4 mac mini using 2 Thunderbolt ports and the built in HDMI Port. Using the 4URPC Dock, you can still connect three displays, but at a reduced resolution and refresh rate. Not a big deal unless you have very high-end displays. But if they had only used one Thunderbolt Port, this would not be limited while using the dock. - The case appears to partially restrict airflow around the Mac Mini. Combined with the fact that the case is largely plastic instead of all aluminum, I am concerned that both the Mac Mini and the NVME drive will be subject to overheating with heavy use. However, I have not experienced any high temps in my use so far. ... show more
