    • Way to thin for 2/0 cable!

This is for the 2/0 lugs; they're too thin; people giving this product five stars have never used a real quality lug; they are overpriced and overrated. I knew as soon I picked up the unopened package, it was too light for anything close to 10, quality 2/0 lugs. I compared these to my cheap HF cable ends; the HF's flat stock (lug thickness) is, .140" (3.5mm's); this is a quality 2/0 lug, and from HF nonetheless. The TKDMR's measure .088" (2.2mm); a full 1.3 mm thinner; nearly half the HF's thickness. The absolute minimum, acceptable 2/0 lug stock, should be .110" (2.8mm and still thin IMO); these lugs at .088" (2.2 mm) are just too thin; .6mm is a lot when one's considering a lug that's supposed to transfer 200amp's continuously. If your project will be drawing 150 - 200 AMP's for more than a few seconds at a time, look for better lugs. Unfortunately, my project will be pulling well over 150 Amps continuously. These are not going to tolerate 2/0 cables' full potential at 90% - 100% duty cycles. On a less negative note, the included shrink-wrap is of decent quality; for folks who don't keep SW in stock (which is probably most buyers), this could be very helpful and save them from making a second purchase. Lesson learned; don't purchase something just because you'll receive it faster; in the end, it's going to take twice as long and causes three times the hassles. ... show more

    • Pure Copper Makes All The Difference

Bought these to solder onto new #2 AWG cables for my golf cart. I installed a new 500 amp controller and needed to upsize the power wiring. These were the PERFETC fit for not only my wire but my battery lugs as well. The only exception was a set with 3/8" hole that I bought from the same seller. Those were needed for the new 1,000 amp solenoid. And yes, with a new Plum Quick motor on the rear, I'm doing 32 mph with nary a sign of overheating thanks in part to these terminals! ... show more

Camaros are notorious for bad grounding, so I used these terminal with some 1/0 gauge wire to make a ground from the ground point to the engine block. The Camaro forums say this helps with the heat soak / hot start starting issues. So far, I haven't had any issues on my 2018 Camaro SS 1LE. Terminal was easy to solder the wire. I found these battery lugs to be just what I needed for my solar battery project and they fit the bill perfectly. After pre-tinning my 4awg cables, I used a hydraulic crimper and they formed well. The glue inside the shrink sleeve flowed perfectly hermetically sealing the crimp. Will buy more.

I bought these lugs to set up a small 'solar wall' in my closet to connect between my deep cycle batteries, charge controller, and inverter. I used a cheap hydraulic crimper bought here on Amazon to crimp them, and so far I haven't had any issues.

Excellent cable fitting. A definite improvement over crimp connections particularly for larger diameter wire. Well a bit more time involved for each connection, the satisfaction of improving ones electrical system is well worth it.
