These grow lights have improve my plant starting issues greatly. They are well made and easy to mount. Each panel is made with a strong hard circuit board with holes at each corner for mounting with the included zip ties, or in my case i screwed them to the wooden shelf above. These lights were amazingly easy to set up on wire shelves, are wonderfully bright, and extremely lightweight. I usually ask my husband to set up things like this, but I did it all quite easily myself. THey've been running for several hours now and the lights themselves are warm--not at all hot. The plug-in unit is a little hot, but not uncomfortable to touch. I am using a four-shelf unit that is 30 inches wide for house plants, so after I saw how ideal this is having four lights on each shelf, I just now ordered a second set of 6. As several people have noted, the timer is a little disappointing because it has just three settings--4, 8, and 12 hours. I prefer 14 hours, but everything else is so ideal for my purposes that I'll just tell my plants they're at the equator. ... show more

these work very well. the timers revert to last state after a power outage, rather than resume their programming, which is a minor annoyance. also, the power connectors on the panels are fairly weak, so they break off easily.
