For low price you do get night vision capability but this is definitely not a military grade stuff as its made for consumers/gaming. Its very light when you first handle it wondering how it will work, so most of its electronic and it has infra red at front which illuminates the object (very similar to most of CCTV / security camera) except its in the form of a binocular form. This might not be for everyone since it does fall short on features specially zoom is poor. But very functional as you can see color images with some light but turns B&W for far away objects in night. It's rechargeable which is super handy once you charge you can start using it immediately and this makes up for lot of fun for kids to watch wild life in backyard. Comes with essentials to start using it, not sure if quality is 4k (it could be upscaled electronically ) but its as advertised and very handy scope in your tool box. Its priced reasonably for amount of features provided as you can take pics or records video directly on provided memory card. It does not look like spy tools but more like utility scope and it was fun using this. Built durable and should last for sometime and I would recommend for someone looking for this type of devices for night vision.

Starting with performance, these night vision binoculars are nothing short of impressive. Very light weight, so carrying them around the neck while out in the field is not an issue. The buttons are easy to feel and manipulate in the dark. The focus wheel works really well and dials in the sharpness of picture quickly. The adjustable IR output is a great feature. I did not have to go beyond IR level 1 to see (with absolute clarity) the yard 4 houses down the street. Although it doesn't get pitch black in my neighborhood, the IR output is like a spotlight where anything more than than level 1 was just too bright. The color night vision, using no IR, is surprisingly good with excellent color reproduction. In fact, it was more than enough to navigate my dark neighborhood with just the ambient light from porches and occasional street lamp. The 10x zoom works really well but I have to say that at 0x zoom, the picture zoomed in already. It's like looking through a hunting scope. Objects that are 4-6 feet away are an inch away from your face in the viewfinder. This isn't a problem for night time nature hikes or hunts, where everything of interest will be far away. I really appreciate that the lithium battery packs (two) are accessible and have standard plugs. This makes long term storage and/or replacement safe and easy. Overall, I am impressed with the binoculars and have suggested them to family.

The media could not be loaded. On a slightly related point of hedonistic-adaptation... I remember when my grandfather gave my brother and I his WWII army flash lights for Christmas. What a gift! They were truly awesome. And a product like THIS would have been like space age technology back then. We often take that for granted, but we really are living in the golden age of gear. Pros -Comes with everything you need to start using this! That is a very, very big deal to me. -Rechargeable batteries. Love that because I don't love having to buy, store, lose, re-buy, and replace 5 different battery sizes for every piece of gear. Ya dig? It's all included and there no hunt-for-batteries hassle. You can skip the most annoying can't-use-it limiting questions like "What size does it need? Do we have those? Where did I leave those? How much are replacements? When will replacements arrive?" You don't have to go from excited for new gear to frustrated you can't use it right away. Definitely a good decision by the company. -Includes micro-sd card AND micro-sd to usb reader. Love it! Same as above. No need to research what you need, buy it, wait for it, etc. -Includes carry bag with strap. -Includes charging cable. -Night vision! Sweet! -4k dude. 4k. -Light weight! That matters when carrying lots of stuff for outdoor or night photography. Cons -Does not arrive charged. Is that really a con? Idk but it's good to know. I think batteries are safer in shipping when uncharged, so that's likely smart and intentional, another point for the company. Just barely a con really. -Not the most solid construction, but seems durable enough. You could break it if you tried, but it would take unusual effort beyond regular use, making it practical for outdoors. Buttons are a little weak, but that's the tradeoff for light weight. Overall, it's 5 stars and I recommend this for sure. If you need more than what you're getting here, then you already know that. However, I would suggest trying this first before you go "upgrading" unnecessarily. You'll likely find this more than suits your needs. Unless you already know you need more, specifically, then this here is your best bet. Stop browsing, grab a pair of these, and get outside!
