He's a very small cat, so if you have an average to large cat don't get this size, which is the smaller one. It's easy to assemble and very sturdy. This cat tree has gotten a lot of love out of it! My cat loves to scratch on the posts and sit in the bed. She has completely destroyed the one ball because it’s her favorite. Great purchase, looks decent, and has become her favorite place to sharpen her claws.

My cat took to this right away. She loves the different textures and when she is done playing, loves to curl up on the top. Cover is removable for cleaning. Easy to put together, not large, but perfect next to a desk, chair or end table.

My kitty absolutely loves this post and bed set. He chooses to sleep on this instead of the couch or other spots, which is nice because it keeps the kitty hair somewhat off the furniture. He immediately started using the posts to scratch on; I’ve never seen him try to scratch anything else around the house because he has these posts to use instead. The posts aren’t real tall, but my 10 pound kitty has no problem stretching out/up from the floor in order to get in a good scratching stretch. I really love and appreciate the variety of scratching materials for him and I plan on replacing the materials myself when the need arises. As others have mentioned, the toys and balls don’t last long before being ripped off, but I didn’t buy this for the toys-I bought it for the scratching posts and bed. So I’m not worried about it (it’s not like he doesn’t have 46,283 other toys strewn about the house to play with anyways). Finally, although this has a wide base and overall is very sturdy, sometimes my kitty will have a spaz moment and leap wildly onto or off from the bed and the whole thing will tip over. But that only happens when he’s being wild and it’s no harm done. So would I recommend this item? YES!! Your kitty will thank you! ... show more

I bought it to put next to an IKEA chair she would keep scratching. Worked like a charm and now she goes straight to this scratcher instead. Sturdy enough not to wobble when she jumps on the top. It had a faint smell on arrival and I let it air out in the garage for a few days.
