This is my son's third violin and compared to the previous violins we are very impressed and satisfied. It's a complete kit and comes with the violin, a cloth-covered hard case, great quality bow and strings, rosin, shoulder rest, and digital tuner. I was definitely impressed with the violin. The varnish is great with no drips or missing sections and the f-holes were cut and sanded correctly. It features a single solid back plate which looks great and feels like it gives a more solid sound. My son is super happy about the warm and rich sound and says it's a definite upgrade from his previous violins. The bridge was tucked behind the tailpiece and neatly wrapped in paper to prevent damage to the finish during shipping. It's an easy installation but we took it to my son's instructor to set up and tune it together. She reviewed the violin for us and really liked the violin. She was really surprised when I told her the price because she was certain it was at least over $300. She said it was much better than a lot of more expensive violins. It felt good to know that we found a well crafted violin at a great price. We are also in love with the 4 fine tuners which makes tuning such a breeze as the tuning pegs are not always easy to adjust in smaller increments. This violin set was quite a surprise as it was far more superior to the ones we've seen before. It has a well crafted octagon shaped bow which my son says helps him control it more easily. This is definitely worth every penny and I'm expecting to get the same one soon for my daughter.

I am an amateur violinist that was looking for an instrument that I could use for the next several years. This is a fantastic violin. It was strongly recommended to me by a friend who said that it plays extremely well and costs less than other decent models that are over $350. I definitely agree. Firstly, the violin sounds beautiful. You will need to set up the bridge and tune it, but that's it and it sounds great right out of the box. The craftsmanship and finish is excellent and much better than the other violins I have seen in this price range. The tailpiece, fingerboard, pegs, and chin rest are real ebony. The front is real spruce and the back is real maple. I had this confirmed by a professional luthier I have been going to for years. The single piece back also adds an additional quality dimension that makes it look beautiful and according to my luthier it provides a more stable and consistent resonance. I think he is right because the sound quality that I get is very rich and stable. I am especially in love with the bow. It is a really good bow with a nice octagonal shape which feels extremely comfortable while playing. I have been enjoying the violin so much that I found myself practicing more than before. I look forward to getting quite a bit of enjoyment out of this new violin. If you are looking for a great violin at a great price, then I highly recommend this violin. You will get great value and enjoyment that I have not seen in any other violins I have purchased before.
