I recently purchased the SOLIOM 4G LTE cellular security camera and it has exceeded all of my expectations. The camera is incredibly easy to set up with the included "triple play" SIM card that works on Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T. The pictures are crystal clear, especially the night vision, and the 2-way talk feature is a great addition. The LED lights are very bright, providing excellent visibility even in the darkest of environments. I was impressed by the heavy-duty mounting bracket for the solar panel. I also like that I can place the solar panel to better reach the sun and have the camera near by. This is an improvement over the previous model. Not only is it perfect for security, but it also works great as a game camera to watch wildlife. The construction of the camera is very sturdy and the large solar panel should keep the battery well charged. I have several other Soliom cameras and I haven't had any problems with them and will definitely be buying more in the future. I highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a reliable and versatile outdoor security solution.

I just got my camera I got a property out the city I have not electricity or WiFi yet but I need to see what is going on during day and night when I’m not there I’m building a tiny home so I have material that can be stolen This camera bring me peace to myself because I can see what’s going on around my property when I’m not there I just downloaded the app soliom in my phone now I can have access any time any where I go to my camera It also has night vision Easy to install , easy to understand It’s a HD camera you can easy see cars silver plates Everything can be recorded Don’t need WiFi or electricity it comes with a solar panel Good quality So far so good I’m happy with my buy

We bought this camera to keep an eye on our property while being away. The setup was easy and straight forward. I am able to keep an eye on everything that’s going on on my property from where ever I may be. I can control the camera with my phone . I can talk through the camera, I can zoom and turn the camera from side to side. I can turn on a light during the night time if I want to see something better. The night vision is pretty good wether you have the light on or off. Overall this is a pretty good camera compared to the price . On top of that it works with solar so no electricity hookup required! Plus you can either set up the camera with wifi or a pre-filled 4-G card that comes with it , it’s already prefilled but you can fill it up when it runs out using the instructions on the card. This camera is great for places with no electricity or wifi access since you have the option to set it up without those. Basically I give it 5 stars!

there is still a lot of room for improvement. I started out with a 4g ReoLink which for the most part turned out to be almost worthless except for me using to spot checkin live. Trying to rely on the Reolink to record activity was worthless or the battery would die. The one day that I really did want it to record, the battery died and I lost 80% of what I wanted. So I gave Soliom a shot, and so far so good, but their software has a lot of room for improvment. 1) It's annoying how their software constantly asks for access to your photos every single time you start it. They don't offer a way for you to say NO and be done with it. 2) The Soliom WiFi cameras only have 3 settings for sensitivity and no way to control which part of the image to check for activity. The whole view or nothing. So with the Wifi cameras, I get a ton of false alerts from shadows, clouds, tree branches, etc. 3) The 4g camera also only has 3 settings but at least does offer a way for you to narrow down where in the image you want to detect, so at least a lot less false alarms. I don't understand why they can't add that to the wifi firmware. 4) And to my biggest grievance with both the WiFi and 4G is how they indicate to you where the video is that had activity in it. It is time consuming and very frustrating. I record to the local SD card (not paying for the cloud service) and when you click to view what's on the SD, you get a long list of short videos, avging a few mins each. The videos will be lablled as "fulltime record" or "Activity Detected". They don't distinguish the rows with activity from no activity with a different color or anything. They also don't offer a way to filter the list to just the rows that had activity. So you have to slowly scroll through the whole list whenever you want to find activity. My current gold standard for security cameras is Dahua which you can also get as Amcrest. They have really nice way of seeing all the video in a timeline with lines for where there is activity and also icons indicating if that activity was a person, a car, animal, or something else. Problem is Dahua and Amcrest don't yet offer a solar powered 24/7 recording camera. So if you want solar 24/7 recording, Soliom is the way to go. Just be prepared to deal with a frustrating and time consuming app. Beter to at least have a recording (somewhere?) with Soliom than no recording at all (ReoLink)
