Professionally installed, previous radio worked fine. This new one 70% of the time will not play sound… everything else seems to work 50/50 if the phone connects but when it does it will show the music playing but you can not hear it…

It's not a bad unit considering the price. There is an annoying little icon for the "assistant" on screen the whole time that you can't seem to take off. And more annoying than that - my speakers have a buzz now when there's no music playing. Luckily I always have music on so it won't be an issue. On the plus side, it does have CarPlay and wireless CarPlay...Bluetooth and everything else you'd need to modernize an older car. Install was very easy but there are no instructions so, just use common sense and you should be okay. It would be a 3 or 4 star unit if it weren't for the buzzing speakers. ... show more

Easy install for a 2008 ram 2500 plugs right in to the oem plugs we also went with a different tailgate backup cam that seemed easy only needed to splice and fish the wire all the way up to the head unit, not bad at all for the money. A bit laggy at times when changing music but not a big deal. Fits as if it was oem with no modification needed.could use better instructions for the camera tho ... show more

We've come a long way from when I knew I needed to change the stock stereo with a Pioneer head unit. These knockoff stereos are what you want them to be. Even better, I thought I could not put an aftermarket stereo in my 2007 Durango due to the weird oddball shape in the car bezel. Almost like a 1-1/2 DIN size, but there are rounded cut outs for the knobs on the left and right. I never installed a stereo in it because I figured I'd have to cut up my bezel. I found one that is sized like this in years past, but it was like $350-$400, and I wasn't paying that. I decided to try this out, and I'm pretty glad I did. First, this has all the functionality of a modern stereo, touchscreen, bluetooth, video, etc. With my stock unit, I had a cigarette lighter FM transmitter to play stuff from my phone, but that can produce static a lot of times, you don't have that with bluetooth. The touchscreen works decent, although my old eyes have a harder time reading some small writing, and the back/home buttons on the top left are up against the extreme corner of the bezel, but I still haven't found any issues with pushing them, in fact, it's probably easier that they're up against the corner, because the touchscreen buttons are kinda small, and I can feel with my finger when I'm trying to push it. Really, the best part of the experience with this was when I went to install it, I went outside in the evening with only a little bit of sunlight. I wanted to figure out how to remove the stock stereo, and then get a look at the innards so I would know what kind of wiring harness I needed to get. Every install I've ever done I needed to get a wiring harness and splice wires. Imagine my surprise when I saw this comes with different wiring harnesses, and one fit directly into my vehicle. It was literally plug and play, and I was getting car audio. I haven't found a good spot to stick the clip microphone yet, and I haven't installed the backup camera, but that evening I had the whole thing done and installed in probably 30-40 minutes, and it would've been much faster if I knew where the screws to remove the bezel and everything were. There is some cheapness to the feel of it, but it's been working just fine, and as long as it continues to work, it is was an incredibly good upgrade, and I don't know why I didn't find something like this sooner. If I could complain, the processor of it might seem a little slow and at some points it has to load, but realistically, it's nothing too different than most Android stereos out there. Another complaint, is when you go in reverse it wants to turn off your music, but I'm not reversing very often so it's not too bad. ... show more
