  • RIDES GREAT
Color: Red
The bike rides. Great! Our seven-year-old quickly picked it up and honestly could probably use a faster one but this is safer right now. Once he gets a little bit bigger, it goes down to sister. Really love this thing, it was a great purchase!

  • Great little pit bike, easy to set up, perfect motorcycle for kids who want to learn how to ride
Color: Red
First and foremost, this mini dirt bike can be a great learning tool to let your kid(s) gain experience riding a motorcycle - encourage your kids to be responsible riders...ensure that they always wear helmets, long pants, and protective gear...get 'em started the right way. Preach safety...responsibility will follow through experience. For around $300 this little pit bike is a great buy for kids who are riding on 2 wheels and know how to balance on a regular bicycle without training wheels. I bought this as a bday gift for my 8-yr old son, who is a perfect size and weight (about 65 lbs.) for this bike. My 10-yr old, who runs somewhat on the small side for his age (he's about 75 lbs), is a little big on the bike, but it handles just fine with him on it. Even with me on the bike (5'10" 170 lbs) the bike still takes off and runs fairly well. As for gas, run a higher octane, 91 or 93 and up, and use a good quality 2-stroke oil mix in the gas (any big box hardware store will sell 2-stroke oil since weedwhackers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws almost always use smaller 2-stroke engines). Small engines tend to be higher compression, so 87 unleaded may cause pinging or poor performance. 1 gallon of gas will fill the tank 4 or 5 times, and you'll get 30-45 minutes or so of riding time on a tank, if not more. Tips for those new to 2-stroke engines - you can buy 2-stroke oil at just about any major big box store (home depot, lowes, or here on Amazon) for about $4, which will treat multiple gallons of gas. MOST 2-stroke oils sold at stores specify oil amounts for 50:1 mixtures, this bike uses a 25:1 mixture (meaning more oil per gallon of gas). Simply DOUBLE the amounts PER gallon to get a proper 25:1 mixture (a 25:1 mixture is 2x richer than 50:1, so you'll have to use 2x as much oil PER gallon). It's better to run a little rich than too lean. If the oil calls for 2.5 oz (example) per 1 gallon for a 50:1 mix, use 5 oz to achieve a 25:1 mix. The math is fairly simple even though it may seem daunting. Additionally, check the chain tightness before you let your kid ride - the chain was definitely too tight from the factory, so I had to loosen up the rear axle bolts and move the rear tire slightly forward to get some slack in the chain. If the chain is too tight, it'll put strain on the engine and needlessly stretch or possibly break the chain. Ideally the chain should have 3/4" or so of slack in it. Too loose and the chain could pop off, so make sure it's adjusted properly. Use a high quality chain wax or lube on the chain as well to keep the links in optimal shape, and to prevent rusting. Check all nuts and bolts...use blue threadlocker (loctite) where possible, as nuts and bolts can vibrate off the bike as they loosen up over time. Keep in mind that this is a China-made bike, the parts will not be as high quality as what you'd find on a Japanese model at 5x the cost...if you take the time and maintain this bike properly, it should run nearly as well and last as long as a mini Honda or Kawasaki 2-stroke pit bike. The pro's - easy to assemble (only handle bars, front fender, and number plate), kids who can ride bicycles w/o training wheels will probably figure out how to ride this thing instantly, no clutch/gears - just turn the throttle and away it goes, light-weight (45-50 lbs with gas in it), and plenty fast for a young kid learning to ride - 20-25mph or so. The con's - difficult to start at first. If you're starting the bike on a warm/humid day, I'd recommend not choking it since the engine won't get enough air to start. Primer bulb is on the underside of the engine, underneath the air filter, where the fuel lines enter the carb - pump at least 8-10 times to prime the engine before starting when the engine is cold. There's no exhaust pipe - the exhaust comes off the side of the engine which means it may make a mess on your kid's leg or pants. The disc brakes are mechanical and not hydraulic...mechanical however should be more than sufficient for a bike of this size. Instructions are rather vague so if you don't have much small engine 2-stroke experience, find someone who does to help out. Overall a solid 4-star product...easy to set up, great for kids 6 and up (as long as they can ride a bicycle they're good to go), light-weight so even if there's a mishap, the bike doesn't weigh enough to cause substantial injury. The lack of an exhaust pipe is definitely a bit of a drawback...though the direct exhaust out the side is better for the engine and won't create unnecessary back pressure. Is the "Superrio" as good as a $1500 Japanese pit bike? It's not as high quality, but I would say that a Japanese bike isn't worth $1200 more than this one...when compared side-by-side with a Honda or Yamaha pit bike, this one does just fine. The frame is sturdy, welds look good, and I personally experienced zero issues with nuts and bolts, after double-checking all of them. Runs about the same speed full throttle as a Japanese pit bike (~25mph). Lowest part of the seat sits between 22-23" high for those who are wondering. Overall the Superrio mini dirt bike is just a tad smaller than a typical BMX bicycle. At the time of this review, both my sons (8 & 10 yrs old) have been riding the bike hard for 3-4 days, and have gone through a few tanks of gas. They've wiped out, flown off the bike a couple of times (no injuries or damage to the bike), and have even started the bike themselves with the pull starter. It's forgiving in a crash - and definitely best ridden on large lawns or fields where kids can wipe out or fall off with injuries or bike damage unlikely. If they fall, they pick up the bike, jump back on it, and away they go. They love it. ... show more

  • Good starter bike, smaller than expected!
Color: Red
A lot of the reviews were saying they got this for their 7-9yr old and my son will be 8 in may 2020 so we got it as a starter bike. We figured it was cost friendly for us to at least get an idea if he will like riding a dirt bike or not then we can size up. It is a nice bike, appealing to the eye and easy to assemble.. but it’s a lot smaller than we anticipated, he will maybe have this for about a year before he’s outgrown it. ... show more

  • Great quality
Color: Red
The mini dirt bike was almost put together when we received it. It is great quality and good enough for my son to ride. He is 6 years old and is the perfect size for him. Great power, and great for kids transitioning from bicycle to motorcycle.
