  • Incredible Quality! Seriously!
Size: 36" x 50 ft
I’m really impressed with the quality and versatility of this welded chicken wire! The black PVC coating gives it such a sleek, modern look, but more importantly, it makes the wire super durable against rain, sun, and outdoor wear. I’ve had it up in my garden for a while now, and it still looks brand new—no rusting or fading at all. The 16-gauge wire feels strong and secure, much sturdier than the thinner options I’ve used in the past. I love the 2” x 3” mesh size—it’s the perfect balance of keeping critters like rabbits and squirrels out while still letting in plenty of sunlight and airflow for my plants. It also doesn’t block the view, which keeps my garden looking open and tidy. I used the 36” x 50’ roll to set up a protective barrier around my vegetable beds, and installation was surprisingly easy. The wire is flexible enough to work with, but still tough once in place. I also appreciate how the black color blends into the background instead of standing out like silver fencing. This fencing is perfect for gardens, pet enclosures, or even small DIY projects. It feels like an investment that will last for years. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a sturdy, attractive, and reliable fencing solution! ... show more

  • On the "fence" about it? Let me help you decide.
Size: 48" x 50 ft
Pretty standard fencing for gardens, small animal enclosures, or barrier. The black pvc coating on this one is well adhered. I have had some where the coating rubs off just handling it, not here. I really like this type of fencing because it's really easy to work with. Unrolls easy, regular pliers are able to cut it so no special tools, straight and even so it stands up well. All around my favorite style fence and this one checks all those boxes. This will not hold back your larger farm animals, and the holes are a little big for smaller farm animals (rabbits). Chickens yes, baby chicks, no. Just make sure you match the right fence for the job is all. One photo is of the wire beside some uncoated fence of the same type purchased at the hardware store. With the coating about the same thickness. I also peeled back some coating to see "under the hood". Appears to be electro gavinized if it is galvanized, so not hot dipped. On par with value as compared to other (reliable) brands. ... show more

  • Keeps hens in, unless they can fly...
Size: 48" x 50 ft
We needed a fence to allow our hens some yard time out of the hen house but wanted to keep them in their own special yard so they didn't get into the garden. This fencing was super easy to use, holds up really well in our rain and sun and works perfectly to keep the dogs out and the hens in. Most of our hens are breeds that don't really fly much, so for the most part the 4 ft height is enough to keep the ladies in. At less than $70 for 50 feet and the fact that this is PVC coated, it's a really good value for the money. I typically pay $30 more for this same roll at a local store, so to get it for much less and shipped....great deal! The photo is during installation. While a fence stretcher is not necessary for installation, it does help to keep the fence nice and tight. ... show more

  • Small issue, but still a solid product.
Size: 36" x 50 ft
I wanted this black vinyl coated fencing for a few different purposes. I am building a new and improved trellis set-up for my 8'x3' raised garden beds and plan on using this vertically, between 2 poles at one end for vining plants to climb. I also plan to use it as a fence around the garden beds, to keep my dog, cat and toddler from getting into them. I prefer the black vinyl coated to the standard silver because it's not only a lot less noticeable, putting the focus where it should be, on the plants, but I feel like it's the safer of the two options when it comes to my toddler. Despite still being in the process of building my new trellis set-up, after my initial one proved unworthy, and not needing to use this for that yet, the need to use it suddenly arose shortly after it arrived. We are currently in the process of building a shed and sometimes when construction is actively taking place, there are materials and tools laying around part of out yard. Obviously not something a toddler should be around, making it exactly where he wants to be. Plus, this isn't usually an issue and most of the time, we still want him to have access to that area when we aren't building and everything is put away. So, I didn't want to cordon off the area permanently. I decided to use the fence as a temporary boundary, just for the rare occasions like today, when it's not safe for him. It honestly worked great for that. I only needed about 15' of it, so I unrolled it enough to span the gap, but didn't cut it, leaving the rest rolled up. I tucked that end of it behind something tall enough, preventing my toddler from being able to just move it out of the way. Then, I was able to secure the other end onto my white vinyl fence because ironically, the horizontal supports fit perfectly in the gaps of the fence. This gave me two attachment points and I just secured it with those thin, green rods from a different plant support set-up I already had. This saved me from having to follow him around and prevent him from getting into everything and affording me the time to do other things, while he played where it was safe for him. The fence is sturdy enough to stand up on it's own and so far I haven't noticed any areas that were missed by the vinyl coating. That is something I have experienced with other's so I was happy to see it wasn't the case with this. There is one problem area I noticed, roughly 5' from the end. One of the shorter support wires appears to have not been welded correctly and is not attached to three of the longer support wires on one side, creating a safety hazard. After seeing this, I tried my best to look at the rest of the fence for similar issues, but it would appear this was a singular problem. I understand that sometimes things happen and honestly, it could be a lot worse. At least it was still coated in the vinyl! All in all, I would still recommend this to anyone looking for this size of black vinyl coated fence. I can't wait to use it to finish off my new trellis, because I know it will be exactly the look I was going for! The price is comparable to other similar products, and despite the minor flaw, it seems to be a quality fence. The vinyl coating is continuous and free of any uncovered areas, which is something that can't be said for other brands. The thickness of the wire is perfect for not only making it very sturdy, and able to stand up on it's own, but also for supporting the weight of heavy fruits and vegetables. There are so many different uses for this and it's definitely a solid option worth considering for all of them. ... show more
