I received the bed frame in two days. It was inexpensive and very well engineered. I’m 500 lbs and I recently got a new frame that came with the mattress and I shouldn’t have used that one at all because it was poorly made it had metal crossbars every four inches going across the width of the bed but it had metal wires every three inches going lengthwise and it had legs that you had to brace using wing nuts and the nuts would get loose and the legs would move and the frame was a couple inches higher than this frame do I had to climb onto it. This frame is very sturdy and doesn’t have the little wires it is low to the ground it would be better if it was a little taller but it seems really sturdy. And so I was skeptical at first but I really needed a new frame for my bed because the old one was broken. I bought mine on Amazon Prime day. The packaging was not too good and there was a little confusion on what goes where upon starting because the instructions are not very clear but we used our common sense and were able to figure it out after that it was a breeze to put together. My boys finally decided to grow up and become man-children now. By their choice they have slept with the beds on floor level no frame for years. They were tired of me nagging about all the crap under their beds. As was I. I bought one for the youngest first. He put it together and was thrilled with it. Two days later, the other son asked me to order one for him. Equally pleased with frame. I was very impressed with the sturdy build of this item. It had to be fairly easy to assemble because the first son does not read directions. LOL. So with one or two oh crap moments and switch part ends, he did it. Momma was so proud. Lol. Purchase this frame back in late February, so I've had it a little over six months now. Really easy assembly, nice floor clearance for storage, etc. Not loving the middle legs that are toe magnets in the middle of the night and while changing sheets - I'm planning to buy a piece of pipe insulation to wrap around them. I do like the lip around the edge that keeps the mattress from sliding around. I do notice that my somewhat heavy hybrid mattress seems to bulge slightly through the slats so I'm planning to either a) get plywood to lay under, or b) sell this frame and get a different one. The main reason I chose this particular frame was the noise free claim - it's a major pet peeve of mine when a bed frame creaks with movement. At 3500lbs capacity, I figured I'd probably be safe since that's far above what I would be throwing at it - a maximum of ~600lbs, more often ~350lbs. About two months ago it started to creak when I sat down or rolled over. I tightened all the connections and applied some liquid silicone on the areas that seemed to be causing the problem, with no success. It's not THAT bad but I'm just a bit disappointed compared to my original expectations. ... show more

First thing's first - Delivery: The bedframe was delivered in a surprisingly small and managable box. I don't agree with the use of ball-form styrafoam for this purpose because the rough ends worried at it thoroughly in transit, resulting in little styrafoam balls electro-stuck in aaaaall the nooks and cranies. I had to keep the cats out while I vacuumed 8 or 10 times to get all the little death balls sucked up. Assembly: the instructions were sufficiently clear and there was 1 spare screw of every size included (always helpful). Only some of the pieces were labeled, but they were sufficiently different and clearly illustrated that the missing labels were not terribly missed. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble solo using the included tools. Application: we have a 8 inch memory foam mattress that seated nicely in this frame, with some gaps in the corners. My kitten loves the gaps because it provides access to attack my hair while I'm sleeping. She's lucky she's cute. Comfort: the first night was magical. To finally have a bed frame that doesn't allow the mattress to slip everytime we sit down, that makes NO noise when we move was a significant relief in and of itself. My back immediately appreciated the support and general structural improvement over our old wooden platform. It is now very cross at me for sleeping on a crap structure for so long. My shins and toes however are a different story. The bruises and stubs from this frame are significant. It sticks out a full inch beyond the mattress on all sides and has 7 legs easily accessible by careless feet and the assembled corners are borderline raw (though slightly rounded). If you don't have a head and footboard to attach to this, spend some time learning your path of safety around it. Final impression: definitely an improvement over a wooden frame or one of those classic 3 peice metal frames. Sturdy, quiet, and easy to assemble.
