I am happy with my new 215-watt panels - You have to run them in Series with portable power stations

I have been happy with my 215watt/430watt package of Callsun solar panels over the last month. They are rigid and easy enough to move around. I added some pictures showing the size difference between the 200-watt and new 215-watt solar panel models. I do not feel much difference in effort moving the 200 and 215-watt versions around. I cannot use my roof (Homeowners association) for solar power capturing, so I need to be able to carry the panels around. I have several portable Anker Solix C series power stations. Please note that you can only run two of these solar panels together in a series (2S) with most portable power stations. You should check your voltage limits. If you set these 215-watt panels in parallel (2P) your amps are likely getting clipped. Most portable power stations on the market can only handle 60-volts maximum input, or you risk damaging your units. A series setup A-okay with me because these handle shading really well with their four separate panel segments. Realistically, I do not think I have ever gotten the 430-watt max, but I have gotten from 390 to 405 watts fairly consistency when the weather, time of day and sun angle is correct. I am very happy with my purchase. I wish I could link three of these panels together, but that's a portable power station MPPT controller provided by Anker/EcoFlow/Jackery/etc,... not the Callsun solar panels which are mighty for their size and weight. I wish they had just a tiny bit lower Open Circuit Voltage (20.41Volts) so I could run three together in a series, but most solar hobbyists like me are probably more than pleased with a max of 430-watts at this weight, size, and price. Edit 4/30/2026: I got a new all-time current flow high during my few months of ownership - 436 watts of production with my two 215-watt panels in series.

tentative 4 stars, will update this review as time passes. i don't know how the other reviewer is getting higher than the company's own rated energy delivery of 215W. so far under the best circumstances the highest input rating i've gotten is 138W. they do work and seem well made.

Best solar panel

I’ve tested several solar panels — Newpowa, Renogy, Eco-Worthy, and EcoFlow — including models with and without anti-shadow technology. Of all of them, the Callsun panel is the only one that consistently reaches its advertised wattage; I even recorded it producing over 215 W. It’s by far the best-performing panel I’ve tested. Currently my panel sits flat on my minivan — far from the optimal tilt — yet it still produces 205 W. Output varies with cloud cover and temperature, but that performance is nonetheless impressive.

Outstanding product. Got 420 Watts on partial sun with the two of them although it bounced around with output depending on cloud cover. Looks great and not to heavy. I hooked mine up in series for now.

A solar panel to rule all others!

I had heard of this product on YouTube, I was highly impressed with the quality in packing (fantastic foam protection). The solar panels performed on my RV BLUETTI ac200L installation seamlessly. Total was in series 645w. The actual power production I got on a flat surface was 504 watts. Not bad considering it was a flat mount installation. In testing I got 602w which tells me an Angeles mount would really product. I am impressed and you will be too. Biracial design, and a light weight allowed for three panels. I needed to stay within spec for the BLUETTI since it came with its own charge controller and 3000 watt inverter. But on my 28 foot Rv I could have mounted three more panels. Not needed, I can charge from zero to 100 by 2:00 in Massachusetts. Great panel with I had three more. I love Calisum Solar. You just can’t go wrong.

They are working fine in a partially shaded yard

We purchased the panels on sale, so definitely worth the price. Thank goodness they are light weight for my spouse and I to unpack and assemble. Well thus far, the 10 panels are in a partial shaded area of our backyard leaning against a fence (in a retaining wall for stability). We are getting a power output of about 1200W for a few hours a day in Southern California, which isn’t too bad under the circumstances. They are functioning fine for now. We want to move them around, but too much for us to be going back and forth at our age. Hopefully, we will find someone to install on the roof or pergola in the near future. On average, we use about 700-1000W of electricity an hour to run our home this time of the year. The extra wattage will help reduce our monthly SCE bill and also will supplement the power station and/or generator if there is an unexpected power outage or rolling blackouts in our area.
