This was a bit more difficult to put together than I thought it would be. I eventually had a granddaughter (a carpenter by trade) put it together and even she said it was tricky. Having said that, the finished product is adorable and works very well for my 15-year old Chihuahua and 3-year old Yorkie. I live the idea of the dog house and did get it put together. It takes quite a bit longer than the instructions say. I gave it 3 stars because several of the pieces of wood on the house were either split or splintering off. I used screws and washers to make sure the split wood areas didn’t come apart. Because I needed the house right away and didn’t have time to try and get it replaced. I felt very light weight and flimsy out of the box. But, when you put it together it is much more stable. Also, I would recommend putting on the rod side that opens first before the larger fixed roof piece. ... show more

What a joke these people include an instruction manual and forget to include step 3,4,5, and 6 it’s goes from step 2 to step 7 and on top of that they tried to charge me $50 for trying to return this 1 day after I got it. I never even opened the box! So instead of returning it I decided to try to build it but the instruction manual is missing crucial steps. Waste of money and time. Huge disappointment now I can’t return it or put it together properly. ... show more
