Had the LXT 3/4 High torque for Semis and Trailers , sometimes I had to bust out the 1 inch Airgun on overtorqued Lugnuts which is a whole pain within itself but not with the XGT; This things eats Lugnuts and only struggled a small handful of times but still got them off. Steep Price but worth every penny not lugging around an airhose, just be ready to switch out batteries for each tractor trailer you do every 3 to maybe 4 wheels on. Update: after 7 months of daily use I do have some suggestions right out of the box; first off get some loctite and make sure you get it on the 4 allen bolts on the impact, if you aren't gonna use it daily like me you'll probably be okay but for me I recently noticed I had an allen bolt missing after 3 months and didn't think much of it after I put in a new one but after 3 more months I saw a different allen bolt fall out in front of me so just make sure to get some loctite on it so the gun doesn't fall apart. This gun is great stuff and I still recommend but be mindful that it's not perfect in terms of rattling out the allen bolts ... show more

    • Get this instead of a full power 1/2" impact
Has more torque than my several years old Ingersoll Rand 1/2" drive impact. Easily installs and removes 15/16" nuts on 9/16" studs to 175 ft-lbs. in a few seconds. It is lightweight and does not put a lot of vibration into my hand in use. Torque Test Channel rates it highly for it's power to size ratio. Also the cost is reasonable. The only downside is if you don't use the batteries too often then a small circuit inside them drains one cell which can cause the charger to mark the battery as defective. ... show more

    • Got a stuck lug nut? You look no further this Makita got your back literally.
This is far the strongest impact drive i have tested. It took my stuck lug nut like it was water. I definitely recommend it.

I heard many good things of the Makita 3/4 impact and also a co worker lend me his impact and was impressed of the power of it. Had been eying it here on amazon for a few days and was thinking of getting it. The price jumped up from $649 to $700 in a matter of days.     • Electric anything is just bad.
I busted 5 lug nuts loose and was working great then it's started getting weak and very loud. Thought it might be getting hot so I gave it a break for about 45 minutes went back at it and with in 2 seconds it would lose its torque and get loud. I had high hopes in this tool from all the reviews and videos I watched on it. I would say it's just defective. But bought it for a project and now I'm SOL because can't get another one before the project will start. If I had the opportunity to get one shippes overnight to me I would try it again but didn't seem anyone was willing to do that so I'm leaving my review on just the expense I had with this tool with messing with it for a 7 minutes or so. ... show more
