I bought this to use with my Dyson Airwrap for longer hair, and it does what it’s meant to do. The longer barrel makes it easier to wrap larger sections, and the 40mm size is great for loose curls or soft waves rather than tight curls. The bidirectional airflow works as expected and makes styling quicker once you get the hang of it. It holds hair securely while wrapping and releases cleanly without snagging. The rose color matches the Airwrap nicely too. There’s a bit of a learning curve if you’re new to the Airwrap, and the curls don’t last all day without some product, but that’s typical. I reach for this attachment more than the smaller barrels when I want a relaxed, natural look.

Same as airwrap barrel i love the bidirectional feature for switching curl direction. It creates soft, bouncy curls and loose waves that last all day. This long 40mm barrel fits my Dyson Airwrap perfectly and as far as I can tell, this works like the brand-name version. The bidirectional feature is the best part—you just switch the arrow to change curl direction instead of swapping barrels, which saves time and space. It’s lightweight, has strong airflow, and easily creates soft, bouncy curls with more of a beachy wave than tight ringlets. I have long, thick hair and it grabs and wraps smoothly, cutting down my styling time a lot. For the price, it’s a great upgrade and an easy recommendation if you want one barrel that does it all.
