I have three Indian Runner Ducks and so I bought the small one since it holds up to 25 pounds. Easy to put together. Yes, it had a few chips but that's normal. There was no major damage. I picked this house because of three reasons: the top opens up for easily egg collection, it had a small window which I can open for air flow and close if to cold, and the floor comes up in two pieces for easy cleaning. Because the floor is like a privacy fence lets good air flow its great during the summer. My ducks can stand really cold weather, they swim in the winter so it works great because ducks need air flow since they build up a lot of moisture but you wouldnt leave any other kind of pet out during the winter because they won't still warm enough. Came with door flap but I don't use it.

DO NOT USE A DRILL! If you do not read anything else, read this. I have a cat condo that is the same material. You can NOT use a drill, it will end up cracking/splitting. The only tools you need for assembly is a phillips screwdriver! This wood is on the softer side, so if your dog likes to chew, this is NOT a good choice. It is very easy to assemble and can be done by 1 person. I assembled it indoors, due to the weather, but it is going outside. This is a really nice dog house. I like that you can easily remove the acrylic in the warmer months. The feet are adjustable to balance it out, if on uneven ground. The floor does come out for washing BUT, I ordered a mat for $15 to go in the bottom. Not just for cleanings, but to cover the cracks in between the slats. The mat is carpet like material ontop but, waterproof and can be washed with a hose. The size of the dog house is a good size and the door opening is nice & big. I put my 12lb Maltipoo in it for size reference but, it is for my Lab & 2 cats (they snuggle together). I am debating on ordering a roll of insulation but, I'm going to wait and see if it is insulated enough without additional. The floor support does make me a little uncomfortable. There are 2 extra support bars that just sit in it. Make sure you get the correct weight limit. I would recommend getting a floor liner. You will not regret it. I put the link to what I got at the bottom. Overall.....do I think this is a good dog house? Yes. Good for dogs that chew? Absolutely not. Good weight support? Ehh. Insulated? Floor, not really. Saw this and thought perfect for my tortoises because the burrow we built flooded first time it rained. My tortoise love it. Keeps them dry from the rain, away from heating the sun and I’ll keep you posted for in the winter (as I do plan to as insulation for them for the winter along with a thermometer to keep tabs on temp and a camera). But so far, it’s working great as I can lift the top to get to them if need be. And they are happy.

Very happy with our purchase. Probably only took about 30 mins or so to put together. Instructions are basic but so is the assembly. Seemed well packaged and ours had no damage. Although the wood is thin it does look nice. However, the thin wood means it is much easier to move around, even one person could push it around due to the easy slide feet at the bottom. As others have said, warmth can be improved by adding sheet insulation you can buy at your local hardware store. Regardless, the only gaps in the wood is the slats in the floor, which is by design. The sides and roof appear to seal nicely. Plus you can't beat the window, which is the main reason we selected this one over similar models. The window allows us to see if the dog is in the dog house without actually disturbing her. Win win.

This dog house IS NOT insulated as advertised. Non-existant customer service. Tried twice to contact them, with no success. I'm just asking for the insulation for this so called; "Insulated" dog house. Although the dog house is very light and sturdy. If I get an answer from the party responsible for the insulation, I will most definitely will re-post.

Received dog house, box in good condition. The roof frame was cracked along the entire width, the bottom of one of the side panels was completely broken off, and the clear weather flap for the enterance was dirty with what appeared to be glue residue and styrofoam packing, Wood is lightweight but would have probably been okay if it wasn't so damaged, very disappointing.
