The YourDaDa Sticky Traps are a must-have item if you're trying to control a fungus gnat infestation. I hate fungus gnats. These annoying little insects are difficult to eliminate, even after completely changing the soil and soaking the plant roots. While using BTI works to eliminate the issue at a larval stage, it doesn't eliminate the adult gnats that seem to just never go away. The sticky traps work ridiculously well. I did not anticipate them working as effectively as they did, but they totally worked. Gnats were not only attracted to the little panels, but they stuck to the panels very easily. I placed a couple around my houseplants and was shocked to see the number of fungus gnats caught in each trap. The traps stay sticky for quite a long time, and I don't have to do anything - the gnats get themselves stuck, and when a trap is filled, all I need to do is toss it away. I haven't had to change out the traps often and it seems like the infestation is under control. Overall, it's a great item to get to help control those gnats with zero effort. ... show more

These traps are perfect for trapping fruit flies. They are super sticky, which makes them very effective. However, they are a little hard to get into the ground. If you pre-dig the holes before removing the adhesive backing, it makes it much easier to get them in the ground.

One of the potted plants is a mosquito attraction for some reason even though that plant is watered lightly once every 3 weeks. Soil isn't moist and quite dry. Anyway, put a few of these into the base and the flying irritants land on them and get stuck. Certainly has reduced the mosquito population in the entryway. The peel backing can tear so have to be careful at the sharped cut contour if you want to get it off in one piece. Good, cheap, would buy more. Sticky enough for the light weight bugs, have not caught any flies on them. ... show more

I wish I could have found these sooner! They are very sticky and hold up extremely well. They’re thicker and hold up straighter without falling over on themselves. This was nice since I had little bugs around one of my pothos and the bugs were all over the place. The paper was easy to remove but it’s very tacky which I liked because it means whatever will stick, will stay! They also worked incredibly well and I’m shocked at how quickly the little bugs stick to the pads and don’t come off. 10/10 will buy this brand again! ... show more

I just repotted 4 of my house plants and they all were absolutely infested with fungus gnats because the soil I used apparently had eggs or something in them. I have 8 plants in total so the ones I didn’t repot also had an infestation of gnats from the other ones I did report. Needless to say I was really annoyed that happened. I’ve repotted several house plants and never have I had fungus gnats like this. I received these traps 5 days ago and the pictures (front and back of each trap) I included are 5 days worth of gnats. The biggest pot/plant had the most of the infestation which is the first picture. The others has various degrees of infestation so some didn’t catch a whole lot not because they didn’t work, but because those ones I didn’t repot and didn’t have a huge infestation. I also paired mosquito bits with trying to wipe these guys out. I put them in a aquarium filter bag, and soaked them in warm water in my watering can and water my plants with them. That doesn’t kill the adults, only the larvae. I wouldn’t use just the traps alone because you need to try to interrupt the breeding cycle. One single adult female can lay 300 eggs, and once those eggs hatch they quickly turn to adults. By combining the sticky traps for the adults and the mosquito bits for the larvae you can prevent more eggs from being laid and more larvae from becoming adults. So far they both have been working great but it doesn’t happen overnight so if you’re reading this for advice don’t expect it to. You need to keep doing both for a couple weeks and then use the mosquito bit water as a preventative in the future. Hope that helps.
