These clips are very sturdy. My drapery is lined and the pocket is very thick, but I had no problem putting the clips on. They are tight. I took 1 on and off to see if it left a hole or easy to remove, I am very pleased with the clip. However, a weak person will have trouble opening the clip. Overall, can't beat the price!!! The rings are very sturdy and hold my curtains firmly. They slide easily on the rod. They are exactly what I needed and they look good. The only problem I had with them was that they paint had apparently stuck the edges of the clips together and I had to use pliers to squeeze them the first time to break the paint seal.
