  • Best way to plant bare root seedlings!
This auger is awesome! Excellent material and build quality. Perfectly straight and holds well in drill chuck. Worked great to plant 28 bareroot seedlings in little time.

  • It's the tool!
Good price. Good quality. Happy customer. Used it to plant 100 seedling trees and was amazed how much it simplified the process and I dent miss the wooden handled post diggers.

  • Needs instructions
I would give 5 stars but no instructions. I have a bobcat with auger so I know how to do the task. Needs a 1/2 inch battery drill with slow speed. Let the tool doo the work, let it fill the auger then lift from hole and let the dirt fall into a pile, it may take a few repeats to get full length. Do NOT try a single pass. ... show more

  • 3 amp drill will not drive bit
I like the bit; fits my drill well. I gave 3 stars because I cannot fully evaluate as of yet. Nice and heavy, seems to work great, but my drill is a older corded 3 amp drill, its not powerful enough to drive the bit, it starts to dig and my drill stops. I am going to keep the bit and purchase at least a good 8 amp drill and see how that goes. ... show more

  • Excellent tool!
Excellent tool! Works great in any soil really. I had a mailbox to install and didnt have my gas auger so I put this on my impact driver, set to drill and drilled out over a 2 ft hole in under 3 minutes. This is up on top of a mountain in north Georgia. Soil was rcoks, hard dirt, but a little damp from a lite rain. If your driver has a handle attachment it should definitely be used. But again super efficient and inexpensive. A great tool to have on hand! ... show more

  • Worth every penny! Worth every penny!
Worth every penny. Worked as described in clay soil with a few small rocks. Large rocks got hung up, so I removed them with a digging bar by hand, then continued with the auger. I doubt my cordless drill has enough power to get through the clay, so I used an old industrial quality 1/2" corded drill. The design is better than others I viewed. The point digs right in, and the carbon steel replaceable blades worked well. They broke up smaller rocks, and after digging 6 holes the blades showed no wear or chips. Although it's listed as 24" length, the deepest I got was 21", and that was with my power drill partly in the hole after clearing dirt away. Regardless, it was perfect for my post-setting project. ... show more
