it works as advertised, but when i was putting it together, the O-ring slipped off, and it wasn't obvious where it needed to go. the effect when this happens is subtle; the two halves fail to mate properly, and you don't get a good electrical connection. it took a lot of trial and error to figure out what was wrong and where the O-ring is supposed to go for proper fit. it really needs better assembly instructions.

Well, first off, I orded a 2 pin,,,, the package says 2 pin,,, but the items I got are clearly 3 pin. No huge deal,,, I'll make them work but someone needs to pay better attention when they package their product. Second, and this is probably my fault, but I guess I missed the word SOLDER in the description. Fortunately, I have the equipment and experience to deal with these very small solder points. It'll be kinda tight getting 16ga wire in there to solder but I'll figure it out. I just wish the description and pics would have been a little clearer. For what they are, they seem very well built so we'll see what happens.

With help I installs this connector in my star link cable. How water proof it is time will tell. Got tired of fishing the cable thru the slide seal and coiling up that 75 ft cable in the box it appears to made well but there were no instructions for installation and no provision for the shield wire
