The size is really large and they are great for flour, sugar, rice, cereal, etc. I am not sure they are air tight though. I had a hard time getting the tops on and locking in place. These aren't terrible containers I wanted to have my noodles and rice in something else especially if we don't use them all in one meal. This works perfect for that. I wouldn't use it for long term storage though. The measuring cups are a nice touch. These are a great concept and the measuring cup is a nice touch. I wish they had a closing mechanism instead of just the measuring cup though. The plastic seems a little thinner and fragile than other containers I have. The silicone seals seem a little too soft as well. The latches hold tight but with the thinner plastic I worry about longevity. Only time will tell. Saw a review saying the measuring cup doesn't stay on, but with a little push and twist, they are fixed securely. Works well for intended use, again worried about longevity. ... show more

These containers are actually really helpful. I filled both up with white rice and immediately used it to make rice for dinner. The measuring cup is a really nice touch since I'm always searching three drawers just to find the one we already have. The lid snaps closed on all four sides so I don't have to worry about annoying spill. My only complaint is that the spout on the top doesn't having a closing mechanism. So you are forced to put the measuring cup on top to protect whatever you have inside. It has this little ridge on the spout that is supposed to help the measuring cup "click" closed on top but it isn't nearly as secure of a closure as the lid is to the container. Bump into the measuring cup and it will come up off of the spout easily. ... show more

Don't get me wrong, I like these containers but I can see and feel a difference between this plastic and the plastic that my lock n lock containers use. This is quite thin and I had a little bit of a struggle to snap the lid on one of the containers. But it seems airtight and the measuring cup is really handy. I am using mine for both the jasmine and sushi rices. They look really nice in my pantry too! I don't think you would regret purchasing these containers. I would give them five stars if the plastic was a bit thicker. ... show more
