My house has 7'-6" high ceilings, and replacing the old "standard" ceiling fixtures with these was a great way to make the rooms feel taller. The quality of these lights is pretty good, and having 3 selectable settings for brightness is nice. I put these in my kitchen, dining room and hallways. So far, we like them, and make no mistake...they are bright! I did shop locally for similar lights, and just couldn't bring myself to buy one for nearly the price of 6 off Amazon, especially knowing I had 4 locations immediately I wanted to install these.
