I am a contractor and I build custom gates for a living. I am always looking for quality gate hardware that can support large entry gates. I got these for free through the Amazon Vine Program. The manufacturer describes these as made from 304 stainless steel and says they can handle a 600 Pound gate. They have a nice powder-coated finish and are very heavy. This type of hinge is two pieces and one piece is attached to the gate and the other is attached to the post or jamb. It's offset design can be installed to allow the gate to be removed or the top hinge can be mounted upside down to keep the gate from being lifted apart from the hinge. This design also creates a gap between the gate and the mounting surface which is about two-inches wide. Overall, these are well made, but I am not sure how they will wear over time since the hinge pin and collar are powder coated and will get worn down over time with use. Being stainless, they should not rust, but there is no bearing to keep them from wearing down the pin. I like the hinges for their simple design, but I gave four stars because the description said that they came with matching stainless steel mounting bolts and expansion anchors, but there is no hardware included with my set.

Impressive hinges! They feel nice, no rough edges. Each piece fits nicely into the other. Very close tolerances. The paint is a nice lacquer finish. None were damaged in transit, no scratches. Mine didn't come with lag bolts which was disappointing, but they're not hard to come by, and they need washers anyway. I still give it 5 stars for quality. They're a good value for the money. 600lb load capacity per pair.

These heavy duty hinges appear to be of good quality with a simple design that will be easy to install. They are made of stainless steel with a powder coating and are a good value for the money. However, I will have to make a trip to town for the mounting hardware as the pictured lag bolts were missing from the kit that I received. Other than that, I am very pleased with it.

Heavy duty stainless steel made out of quality metal. Fit together perfectly which is nice and swing easily. Great price for the four pack. Versatile enough to use on several types of gates or fencing. Easy to put on most size fence posts and stay together well when in use.

The media could not be loaded. These hinges are robust and indeed seem made of a 300 series stainless steel as tested with a magnet. They will require a good thick grease to keep a smooth rotation. I was hoping I could hog out some material to install bronze sleeves, but the barrel is not thick enough. The length is also on the short side and needs a good stiff structure to transfer the weight of the gate. The finish is thick and looks quality.
