You get a great deal with this pack, for sure. The larger globes stand out well, and you get a lot of LEDs per light. Here's what I learned setting these out. Some of this advice is applicable to other similarly designed solar garden lights. First - when you unbox these, you'll find there's two parts, the light assembly and the ground spike. You'll note that the arrangement of the LEDs doesn't look quite like my picture, the stems are perfectly straight emerging from the base, more like a bouquet than an actual plant. These are powered with a single NImH rechargeable battery connected to a small PCB where the solar wafer supplies the input voltage. 1. The stems themselves are sleeved by a thin jacket, vinyl or somesuch. There's a wire inside for rigid support along with the low voltage wires leading to the LED globes. If you intend to bend them as I did to fan them out into a realistic pattern, you need to be aware that the bundle is glued into the base and wrapped at the bottom to keep the structure intact. The globes altogether are quite top heavy for the construction. Do not pull on the stems to bend them or for any other reason. If you do, the entire bundle will work it's way up out of the base and wrapping, and it will be nearly impossible to get them back in. All the globes will drop down to the ground. Instead, bend the stems by holding the bottom of the stem with one hand, and working the stem to a curve with the other to avoid pulling. Do this for each, working in a circle for the outer stems. Don't overdo it. If you do this carefully, you'll get your desired shape with the support structure intact. 2. The ground spike slides into the base using the exact same central opening that the wire passing from the solar assembly to the LEDs uses. If you try burying the fully assembled light into tough ground, or otherwise push down too hard, the top of the ground spike shaft will push up high enough and with enough force to completely sever the power cord leading to the lights. Now you're dealing with either a repair, or you're throwing the whole thing away. To avoid this, before actually sliding the base and spike together, get the spike buried to the desired depth first, and only then should you mount the base. If you need some help getting the spike into the ground, I recommend a wooden or rubber mallet. A hammer will risk deforming the top of the spike shaft. 3. Remove the protective cover from the solar wafer and actually turn on the switch to let them charge to full. Put them out in the morning to let them charge to full, obviously on a sunny day. They don't come fully charged, so the health of the battery will be best served by a full charge before it has to discharge. Follow this and you'll have a good setup experience. Otherwise you'll learn the hard way as you can probably tell I did. Because of all these requirements, I'm giving these four stars. But they really are impressive afterwards, giving a bright warm glow. Pictured are these lights in action.

I utilized these lights in my flowerbed to accent a pet grave marker. They are partially in the shade however the solar battery charges up everyday so they glow each night. The charge doesn’t stay long but when they are glowing they are so pretty. The light stems are flexible so I was able to fan them out.

Easy to put together and set up. The lights are nice and bright and look great in the garden among all the sunflowers. They are just as bright as other yard lights. I've gone to bed around 1 a.m. and they were still going strong. Even placed in the shade of our giant sunflowers they were able to get plenty of sun to charge. The first night the lights stayed clustered together so I went out and tried to separate them out. The individual wires for the lights bent easily enough but once I bent them down there wasn't much to be done to adjust them. They are thin wires and will rotate when trying to correct our readjust.

The orbs on this set of lights are definitely larger than the typical ones, but unless I'm comparing them side by side, I couldn't readily tell the difference once they are placed in the garden. Light output is fine, solar panel appears typical, either that or the ones I already have are better quality so I can't really say that these are that much better/larger than others. Nevertheless, I love the look of these swaying lights at night. A welcoming sight for family returning home from a late night especially when you're on an otherwise dark street.

These are your typical firefly lights except the bulbs are bigger and there are 12 lights on each unit. They are very easy to assemble and to put out in the yard and I like the difference in the light output from these...a little more splashy because of the number and the size of the bulbs. They work well and look good in my yard.

the color is warm, as advertised. I do not feel that the 12 lights is 'better than' any other version so I will dispute that claim. Personally, I like the 8 bulbs as I think that this is the best amount that spreads nicely and gives you the best light show at night. Longevity, not a clue at this point from one version to the next. I do like to sit in the patio at night now to watch. go for the 8. It spreads nicely and you don't' have to contend with the price and erroneous claims.

These lights are exactly what I was looking for in my front garden. They arrived with batteries installed and ready to go. I just had to unwrap them from the plastic, install them in the garden, and fold down the solar panel. There is an on/off switch on the bottom that I missed the first night, and also a toggle that makes the lights either blink or stay on. They are a very warm orange color when illuminated but also bright enough to dimly light a walkway. They do come rather erect, so I've been working on slowly bending each light rod so that it's more spread out like a bouquet. I didn't want to attempt a hard bend immediately because I'm not sure how delicate each branch is or if it really is intended to bend. We even got torrential rain and a hail storm since these have arrived and it didn't affect them at all.

Once I realized you really have to bend the wires to get the bulbs in some position, I liked the lights much more. It is a bit of a challenge getting them positioned just right. The lights are cell powered and work fine that way. It has two lighting modes on or flashing. I really would rather have intermittent flashing to give a real sense of fire flies. The whole cluster of one light flashes on and off at the same time. Unless your plants have an emergency I don't see the need. All in all a nice different decor of lights for a garden. No need for wires just select lighting mode, bend the wires, stick in the ground and enjoy. **updaate** After about a week, one set of lights just simply stopped working. Not sure why or how they just stopped.

These are great for ambiance in the yard. There are 2 bunches in the box. The bunches are pretty tightly gathered when you get them - bend them gently to get them to fan out. The lights are charging well and they're bright for at least 4 hours (maybe a lot more but I'm alseep by then). They are super simple to assemble...just throw the stick in the ground, put the top on the stick, and flip the switch on. Couldn't be easier.

I really like these lights so far. I've only been using them for a couple weeks so I'm not sure how their longevity will be. So far they work very well. I like that they are bright but still a soft, warm glow. At first they were bunched together but I was able to splay them out. They're pretty sturdy. I had to work to get them bent. But I'd say that's a positive since hopefully it means they won't break easily.

The wife has dozens of little orb lights in her garden, thought she'd use these for that purpose. Instead, she used them to flank the stairs leading up to the deck, and wants more to highlight the backyard path...so now i have to order several more. They are pretty bright and somewhat positionable, so you can make look how you want them to by bending the branches of each bulb. I just just very gently with mine fearing I might break them. They really are a nice addition to the yard.

Easy to assemble & use. Cute effect. I feel like none of the brands really move around as much as you'd like; perhaps as they get older they soften in the sun and move freer? Tried a few different styles of this type of light, these have larger light globes & longer stems than some of the others. Twelve seems like a really good amount of bulbs. Look really nice at night with a bunch of them in the landscaping.

I've purchased these and another brand of the same type of light, and these are by far my favorite of the two. The glow is much warmer on these, and the balls themselves seem to be made of higher quality plastic than the other type I have.
