I love the addition to glitter in paint! It's fun for a girls room or in grout of a bathroom. It does take a learning curve. I highly recommend reading some of the other reviews as well, as they have great tips that I followed as well. This type of glitter is expensive so only use it in your top coat, it's a waste to use it in the underlayers. Also buffing and cleaning after the paint has had time to dry will give you more sparkle. ... show more

This kind of product is pretty self explanatory, but some pointers - the more contrast between your paint color and your glitter color, the more prominent it will be. This means if you want a subtle sparkle, lighter paint colors are best, for more pop, darker colors. If you need to paint 2 coats, don’t add glitter to the first coat because it’s just going to get painted over. By painting your base layer and then adding the glitter to the paint, you’ll get a higher glitter to paint ratio too since there’s less paint in your can. Be sure to stir it well each time you pour more paint from your can.. Let it dry a few days and then buff. After you think you’ve buffed enough, buff again. Then wipe down your walls. If you don’t remove the dust from the buffing, it will dull the glitter and you won’t be as impressed. I recommend a swifter sweeper and just do your walls like you would your floor. Flat and matte paint will buff better than semigloss and glossy, and the sparkle will be more prominent as well since it’s against a finish with no sheen. ... show more

I got this product to paint an accent wall in our 6 year-old's playroom. I feel like this product, though it seems simple enough to use, in theory, it still requires some good tips and pointers to get the best use of it. I would not dump all of it on your container of paint if you are expecting to paint more than 1 coat. Layering glitter paint might give the look quite like we saw in the 90s when chunky glitter makeup, body glitter, and nail polish in 3 layers were the thing; when more was better. This is not the case. Glitter works by catching the light reflection on the surface of the paint. If you know you might need more than one coat, paint the base coat then mix what you need. Better yet, don't mix the glitter in that container at all, paint whatever coats you need to paint, then, in a varnish/clear coat, mix glitter you need and you'll see all of the glitter! And it says silver but it's holographic and still pretty. ... show more

is a really neat product and it works mostly well. we figured out to do a couple of coats with out the glitter and then the top coat with the glitter in it. That way we wasted less. Pop's really well in black paint within sealed with a clear coat on top, it looks really good

You will love this paint additive! The first time I ever saw a wall that was painted with glitter was in Free People’s dressing room. I searched and searched for ways to do it so that I could have walls like that too and came across a different brand at target. I bought but never used it so I can’t really compare the two. My Granddaughters love everything that sparkles and shines. So we painted one wall with the glitter. I did a first coat with out the glitter then slowly mixed it in the paint. it had a little sparkles , never used the buffing stuff before so I figured it wouldn't do much but to my surprise it did make the sparkles pop and it was easy to use and the Granddaughter's are happy and the wall looks great. ... show more

I have always wanted to make my wall glitter and shine and now with this product it is perfect. I love the beauty of this glitter. The buffing pads that come with this package will not be enough so it is necessary to get more of the buffing pads or else your glitter won’t be able to pop through like desired so the buffing part is largely needed. We just purchased a house and wanted to add some touches to “make it ours”. I thought it would be fun to add some glitter to wall. These packets make it easy to do this- and better than glitter you just get off the shelf at your local store.
