I used this on a walnut and Hickory candlestick. First I turned a 2.5-in journal on the end of my workpiece with a live Center. I have only used this a few times at the time of this review. The quality of the different jaws seem to be high quality and the chuck itself is machined very well. The gear mechanisms to adjust the jaws is Clunky for lack of a better word not smooth. not necessarily bad just not smooth like my Nova Chucks. all and all seems very good for the money. ... show more

    • This unit failed due to lack of lubrication in the internal gears
This unit was assembled WITHOUT ANY LUBRICATION in the internal ring gears or pinion gears and it gauled the locator pin. For the cost of this to have this failure is totsally unacceptable.
