This bed frame is very sturdy and was easy to build for the price. Took my husband about 30 minutes to assemble the frame and move everything into place. The height is perfect. My almost two year old can climb on the bed no problem now, but it's not so low that it's uncomfortable for an adult to use if guests come over. I purchased the 3inch bed frame and it’s perfect as a Montessori style bed for youngsters. We need the mattress off the floor to avoid moisture problems/ keep mattress in healthy condition but didn’t want it high to where our daughter would roll off and injure herself. This fits the bill! The box for this is small, as the frame is densely packed inside. The packaging is protective, using only sheet plastic and a very small amount of foam. Unboxing was easy and very clean. The quality of the frame is good, however be careful during assembly, as the screws provided are the usual very poor quality (cheap!) metal. Any use of a power tool is likely to strip the simple hex head, so use the included Allen wrench instead. It's small, but will work without causing damage; work gloves will help. There are 8 through-bolts which require a nut with an embedded lock-washer, but the very small wrench provided for this task is completely useless. I used a socket wrench instead, getting it done easily. Note one feature of this frame: since it is designed so that it can be used without a box spring, it does *not* have the typical vertical side rails that "lock" the box spring in place on the frame. If you feel you need those, choose another frame. Minus 1 star for the poor quality screws, very common with products from China.

This is exactly what I was looking for, a low to the ground bed frame for me and my senior dog, that would keep my mattress from molding. It arrived pretty quickly after I ordered it. It took some time but I was able to put it together myself. I put it together outside where I had more room (I live in an RV). It is very solid and sturdy, (it was not oily like other reviews mentioned). I love the fact that it folds in half after being put together, making it much easier to move around and get it into place! I recommend this product and seller!

When putting this bed together, the cross bars did not reach both sides of the frame. The middle bar was suppose to be screwed in on each side and it was about an inch too short. All the other bars were barely touching both sides, and most of them fell to the floor when we laid the mattress on it. We returned it.
