I would give these 5 stars but I dropped one and it no longer acts as a torch (more like a standard lighter). Love the feel and ergonomics of this lighter. Super easy thumb push in order to operate. Easy to adjust the flame and feel very high quality with metal head. As I said, I did drop one off my work bench an it fell 3ft on to concrete. Still operates with a very light torch (almost like its permanently set on LOW). I use these for paracord work and the ergonomics and ease of use are fantastic. If I were a smoker with heavy arthritis in my hands or elderly these would be the easiest operated lighter I can think of to use. I have spent hours at a bench clicking on and off hundreds of times and these lighter have worked flawlessly. Great product! ... show more

My last Zico lasted about a year of daily use before failing. I don’t usually like to spend $40 at one time to replace a lighter. However, I saw it as though I’d be good for about 3 years by getting a 3 pack all at once and I liked that these were smaller than the 4 barrel I was used to. The first lighter of this pack started getting low, so I added just a little bit of 11x refined butane I’ve always used in my Zico’s. It never was able to light again after that. Disappointed, but opened a second lighter in this pack. Waited until it was completely empty this time and got the same results. I shook my 11x butane, held it upside down for about 3-5 seconds, and waited a couple hours to use it. It never lit up again. So I’m now on the third lighter out of this pack and I don’t expect there to be a difference in it surviving after it runs out of butane. Definitely a bit disappointed. My smoke shop said Zico is the best and that they might not make them anymore or maybe he’s just unable to get them in his shop. So I’ve been getting them on Amazon. I had good results at first. We live in a very windy area, always a breeze at the least, but often gusty. We also good and do other outdoor activities l, where getting a lighter to light can be frustrating, yet again my previous experiences were great. If you’ve read this much. I’d normally speak highly of Zico brand lighters, but beware of this pack. ... show more

    • Nice and sturdy
We have had these lighters for almost four years, and use them daily. Most butane lighters don’t last us very long, but these seem to take the abuse and continue to work well. They are always the ones left working, so we reordered some more to put in our camp kit.

    • Great quality product for the money
I gave one of these to a friend and we've been using them for many months now and they have been the best quality torches I've purchased (and I've tried quite a few looking for the perfect one). You can feel the quality of the torches when you're holding them...they have a nice weight to them. I finally found a good torch and I can stop buying a new one every few months. ... show more

    • Easy to handle, Easy to light.
My wife has arthritis - BAD. Her hands could not "flick a bic" anymore. 1) These stand up so she can pick them up. 2) The large easy to depress thumb button means she can strike the lighter with ease. These really improved the quality of her life and independence. UPDATE! 5 years later the last one of the three broke! We really got our money's worth out of these! ... show more

The lighters have a nice feel in the hand and do a good job heating the product. Not sure what "sheerness" is--that is one of the features Amazon had me rate. Good value for quality.
