Having gone from cloth mask to cloth mask with PM2.5 to half mask respirator with P100 filters to full mask respirator, the 3M TR-600-ECK with upgraded S-655 is our final purchase. (Assembled on your right) The hood what comes with the kit is a S-433 (shown on the left) and the upgraded S-655 (showed on the right) both provide APF (Applied Protection Factor) of 1,000. This 100 times better than an medical disposable N94 that has APF of 10. This equipment is suitable for BSL-3 (Biological Safety LeveL) laboratories where SARS-Cov-2 is under study. The TR-600 also can be fitted with different gas filters in addition to the 99.97% filtration filter. Some people say this expensive. This assembly is also NIOSH certified. Compared to a day of COVID-19 treatment, this is inexpensive protection. Don’t forget to wear gloves, shoe covers, and body protection in addition to the Respirator. This PAPR does not require a “fit test” to work at rated protection. Please watch the 3M videos on this product on how to use. Also watch on YouTube TR-600 and TR-300 videos on how to NOT contaminate yourself when taking the equipment off and how to decontaminate the equipment. I also upgraded to the S-655 hood hit. It fits much better and has head vs visor flow adjustment.

This is my life line. Wear it all day at work. Wish the battery’s lasted longer without having to spend even more money for another battery right away. I work 12.5 hour shifts. I will have to eventually have to buy an extended battery which is rough after spending so much on this. I work covid unit and have severe asthma so I need the pump on full. I feel safe tho and have not had any other probs except short battery life.

Outside of a biohazard suit, this is a great, although pricey option, for respiratory protection. Essential for healthcare workers on the front line of the pandemic.

I bought this to replace my first gen papr. The filter unit is light and small 5star there. The battery is also light and less bulky than previously versions, 5 star there. The hood with this unit is a disposible (I did not use, have the helmet) 2 star there. The biggest issue I have with this generation of papr is the belt, 3m dropped the ball on this its very uncomfortable and the adjustments need constant attention would give 0 star for that. I plan on buying the back pack for this model and throw the belt away...junk. The battery life is ok, the model abave this one is better from what I hear. All that being said if you are a painter or trade worker that requires a respirator to work , invest in this type of system its very nice.

Overall its a great product, keeps from having to wear N95s that cause pain to the face and bridge of nose. The belt does not keep its place, it loosens and has to be readjusted multiple times during a 12 hour shift. The battery no longer charges on the charging station. When the battery was working, worked for nearly 14 hours before needing a charge.
