I am thrilled with this product! I read many reviews before selecting the 3M Privacy Filter. I'm the Director of H.R. so I frequently have confidential information up on my computer screen, including payroll. With employees coming in and out of my office without notice throughout the day, it was awkward and difficult to jump off the computer every time someone walked in unannounced. You absolutely can not see anything unless you are standing directly behind me facing the screen. I've walked all around my monitor from various angles to see at which point the screen was visible. At about a 25 degree angle, you can make out that there's an image on the screen, but one can not clearly or easily see what is being shown on the monitor. The only con is the clear adhesive tabs that hold it in place. They work fine, however, I feel 3M could come up with a nicer looking alternative. At least they are clear and I don't notice them at all anymore. This product is great! Many other managers have noticed the filter and have commented on the awesome level of privacy it provides. 5 Stars all the way! ... show more

I am using the filter (PF19.0W) on a 19" wide screen monitor (16:10) and it works perfectly for privacy, and the non-glare side works great for no glare. There is an option to mount it on the glossy side as well. I placed it against the screen, resting on the bottom part of the monitor frame and it stayed put on its own. I did use the clear sticky tabs on the frame so that I can remove the screen if wish to do so. ... show more

I buy this item to replace with my old one as the monitor changed from 17" to 24". I have to say that the old one (the bulky 3M hangging model) do a much better job as privacy screening function goes. The viewing angle for the new one is wider in horizontal and vertical aspect, which negate the purpose of putting up a privacy screen, but on the other hand, I discover that due to the size of screen, if the viewing angle decrese further from what it is designed now, there will be blind spot on the edge of monitor since it will be filtered out by the screen - and I have the monitor setting about 2.5ft in front of me. Of course, I can place the monitor futher out away from me to mitigate this issue. However, I would certainly like to see the vertical viewing angle to be narrowed down since our monitor aspect is widen more on the horizontal side. Overall, I give 4 stars for this product. ... show more

I used to have a glass 3M privacy screen that sat on my monitor that worked fabulously--so I really know what it should do. This is a completely different style, it is a flat screen that slides onto the monitor screen. It sits there and you put little sticky tabs on the monitor rim to prevent it from falling out. As far as privacy, it does about an 80% job, so way better than nothing but not as good as I was used to. It is kind of expensive but you can't find privacy screens for much less, if at all. It is really important to get the correct screen size, so measure carefully. I would recommend it. ... show more

Overall, not bad. It doesn't have a frame, but fit perfectly inside the bezel of my monitor. Since it is very thin and has no frame, it won't stay perfectly flat against the glass, and comes out 1/2 cm from the glass until it makes contact with the small tabs that you stick on your frame to hold it in place. Basically, the filter gets a very minor bow in it. The result is that wherever it is a small distance away from the glass, it becomes darker than the other areas, and the screen doesn't have the same brightness across the screen. However, the product is generally of good quality and does a good job of offering me privacy at work. For the price, I don't regret the purchase and use it every day. ... show more

This item was ordered reading all reviews . It is just great I have had a snoopy co worker in my office for weeks now . Every-time I manage to go on the computer she is always throwing something away right near my feet snooping all the time. I told her to stop it and she just kept on doing it. Until today when I put my privacy screen on my computer. I am sure you all know the feeling when someone is looking over your shoulder its creepy . I told her to cut it out and she ran away but no one can see anything I am doing only me. It is the best money I have spent in weeks and it deters her from trying to peek and learn what I am doing. Keeps those sneaky , snake type people away. Keeps all your info on private its almost like the largest KEEP OUT signs we would put up years ago to prevent someone from roaming in your yard .
