Description

3M 1080/2080 WRAP FILM SERIES are long-term, removable, dual cast coloured films are designed for solid colour vehicle detailing, decoration and full wraps without graphic protection. This film's Controltac pressure-activated adhesive allows it to slide and be repositioned until firm pressure is applied. The non-visible Comply air release channels assure fast, easy and virtually bubble-free installations. These vinyl films (minimum 3.5 mil) are sold in 60 inch rolls, allowing almost any section of a vehicle to be wrapped without seams. This film is recommended for full wraps and can be applied to your vehicles hood, trunk, roof, mirrors, door handles, glass, motorcycle parts, chrome, metal parts and just about any relatively non-porous surface. I really don't consider this "burnt orange". It's pretty close to just "orange". However, It is slightly on the red side of orange. Whereas 3M's "bright orange" looks very yellow to me. I fully wrapped my car with this stuff, and I love it. It's pretty forgiving. It releases easily as you apply it, but it also gets very sticky after it sets. Any small bubbles disappear if you rub your finger across it. Applying heat up to around 200 degrees F makes it lose its memory and relax in place. I love the shine. A bit of wax helps. ... show more

The wrap itself is fine, but the way I received it I was already put off by it. First the wrap is 3M but was held rolled up with vivid wrap stickers. If this was actually from 3M they wouldn't have another company's stickers. It made me question if I even received the correct wrap. The color is more of a dark orange. It definitely isn't bright orange as some people said. Also when I received it a whole edge was damaged on the entire roll so all that has to go to waste. I just bought this as a sample to test the quality and color but I definitely will not be purchasing from this seller again. ... show more

Pretty cool stuff. My first try working with this plastic tape. Put in on my wheels. Easy to work with, sticks well. Some wrinkles around the corners, but by the 4th wheel I was better!!

Color was perfect (more orange than burnt). Arrived on time and in a big box with those airbags. But the roll itself looks like it was already damaged (not through shipping) because it has tears and scratches after I removed it from the plastic wrap. The edges are smushed like someone beat it against the ground. I would’ve only lost a couple square inches to the tears but there’s a huge crinkle running right down the center of the film because the middle of the tube was bent. It went for at least 2 feet and I stopped unrolling to check. You could probably get the wrinkles out when you apply it but I would rather just receive a product that doesn’t look already worn out. Getting an exchange and will update it this roll just happens to be a dud. ... show more
