I've had this about a week now, and have used it every day. I like it, but I don't at the same time. I like it because it heats metal for me to shape. I don't like it because I can't just use one burner at a time if I'm doing a small task. The flame backs up into the other burner and melted all the paint off. And I don't like that there isn't some sort of door on the back side. So much energy is lost just venting out the back. I've gone though nearly 30 gallons of propane already. My one burner will make a 25 gallon last nearly a month. If I am doing a long piece, fine. But most of my projects fit in the box as is. Please make a door. I don't regret buying it. But I won't buy another one unless they make changes.

So very much a beginner to knife making but this thing works like a charm, it take about 10min to get cold metal to forging temps and it hold temps very well, I would recommend putting the fire stone over one of the two openings to help keep heat and that’s what I did and it works like a dream

Impressive build for price point. I'm a bit disenchanted by there being no instruction regarding treating the insulation to prevent friable ceramic fibers though (one partial sentence on listing image mentions rigidizer and refractory cement but no instruction and none included) Hint: BUY IT - USE IT - YOU ONLY HAVE TWO LINGS! Haven't fired this forge to evaluate heating other than at low flame for a couple minutes to set the rigidizer but the burners react very well. I expect a good service life from this one.

Excellent forge at less than HALF the cost of comparable quality-buit forge! VEVOR has proved true to their motto (on this item as well as several other VEVOR tools I have purchased): "Tough tools and half the cost!" Yowser, one fine forge ... well-designed for ease-of-use, efficiency & compactness of design ... I like it a LOT ... mainly purchased for working blades for knife-making, but has several other uses ... among which are annealing the wires used in my jewelry making ... and, melting crucibles of metals for pouring into molds, and, firing ceramics, and producing melting diachroic glass pendants ... and ... and ... etc etc ... all-around useful when you need super-high temperatures

The forge is usable, but the quality is average. Heating works, though the temperature is not very consistent and takes some time to reach higher heat. The build feels a bit lightweight for the price. It may be fine for occasional use, but I expected better overall quality.
