The grinding is smooth and easy, produces a fine, even grind on all the herbs I've tried in it. The lid and mesh screen pieces are magnetic which is a nice feature I haven't had in previous grinders, and helps minimize spills from klutzy butter fingers. This is an very well made herb grinder that works great for grinding my garden herbs. It's well constructed and well thought out. The lid is magnetic making it easy to keep it in place. It came with a tiny spatula and brush to get every bit of your spice and for clean up. There is a nice screen to help filter out larger, tougher bits. I have struggled with an inferior grinder for years, this is a needed addition to my kitchen. I highly recommend this grinder. ... show more

Size: 2.5inch
A nice 4 grinder that looks pretty well machined. The top piece attaches to the body with a neodymium magnet, the body and base unscrews, and the screen has an o-ring where it sits firmly onto the inside of the base. At 2.5" it's as good size to grind a decent amount of herbs. I especially like the screen in the base to filter out the fiber grindings. The body has all the machined lines where it gives your a good grip on the entire grinder. It's not a big deal but anything to make this a better grinder is more perforations in the body where the grindings will have an easier time falling into the lower chamber, but overall it's still a nice grinder. ... show more
