This product is SO LIGHT to carry from one room to the other while you are holding baby. Its easy to wash too, but I prefer to just line with diaper changing pad. If we could give this product ten stars we would. We had our first child in August and after the first month our pediatrician had us go to urgent care because “it isn’t normal” for baby to cry for six hours straight every day. Of course the urgent care doctor merely sympathized with us and told us to strap in for the next 3, possibly 6 months. Cue a casual menty B (mental breakdown) for mom. Our daughter hated the side to side swing another parent recommended, but liked when dad did squats while holding her - however dad said this was not a long term solution. Mom realized baby liked an up down motion - enter the Baby Bjorn Bouncer. Baby no longer fusses for hours every day - mom and dad now have some semblance of their mental health back. My son is what is referred to as a velcro baby. He will not let me put him down for even a moment without crying horribly. I spent 2 months unable to make myself food, comb my hair or even shower without him crying his little eyes out. I was exhausted but then...my mother suggested this little bouncer and everything changed! From the moment I put him in the chair he was calm and happy. It's very well made, easy to move from room to room and the cover is machine washable. The design is simple and brilliant. The straps can be put on with only one hand. Super easy to get him in and out. He is 4 months old now and starting to figure out that he can make it bounce. The cover is solid canvas and soft. Thebseems are very strong. I made the mistake of buying a rocker for our baby and she quickly outgrew it. In a panic I bought this hoping it would bridge the gap between the rocker she outgrew and whatever she needs in a year or so. This bouncer is awesome. We take it everywhere. It collapses down to almost nothing and it’s very sturdy. The cover comes off and is machine washable which is a huge plus. It takes no effort to bounce so even the baby kicking rocks the thing for her. I wish I knew about this sooner. It’s pricey, but I trust BabyBjorn’s brand (we have the sling also). There is a pretty good locking mechanism for the bouncer and you can adjust the angle 3 different ways. I feel pretty confident she won’t just fall backwards in it. At the lowest angle setting it almost becomes a pseudo bassinet. Pretty nice because the baby effectively rocks herself to sleep sometimes. Big thumbs up. ... show more
