  • TRUST THE PROCESS
This was very messy, but very fun. My daughter was SO excited to pop the balloon the next day. I gave it 24 hours of drying time to make sure it wouldnt fall apart. It looked a total mess, glue was everywhere but it was fun and it was silly and at the end of it, it was beautiful. Only suggestion i would make is to not put the entire roll of thread in the glue. It didnt seep all the way through. Keep some extra elmers glue on hand just in case. ... show more

  • Great fun craft, needs help from adults.
Tips for best results: 1) Read instructions completely and cover your work area, it will be messy. 2) Pour glue into a quart sized ziplock bag instead of a bowl and place the whole spool inside. squeeze air out and seal then slosh the glue around to let it soak in for a good 5 minutes. 3) Skip the gloves, they get in the way. Just accept that it will be messy and get right into it. 4) Having 2 adults helping is ideal. Have one adult hold the balloon, and another unwind the yarn, let the child guide the yarn and wrap it around the balloon. The adult holding the balloon can help by rotating it. 5) When the yarn starts to feel dry, just put it back in the bag and let it soak up more glue. Towards the end, make sure you scrape out the last bit of glue from the jar. We had soak the yarn about 4 times total. 6) Let the whole thing dry for ~ 24 hours, flip it half way through as the instructions suggest. We used a large sturdy disposable plastic cup to support it and it worked great. ... show more

  • Cute but difficult!
Maybe it was just me. This was an art project that my son and I did yesterday. Whoa! Followed the directions exactly. It said to use a fork or similar to separate the yarn to make sure all the glue got on all the string. Ugg. That made it all tangled up. It would have been better to cut strips and dip in glue and put on more like paper mache. Love the color of the yarn and overall it’s super cute but save yourself the trouble and think of it more like paper mache. Cutting the string was the only way we could do it due to the tangles and it actually made for a super strong base so that worked out. Love the lights on it! ... show more

  • Cute kit
Get ready to get sticky when you start this! My 6 year old granddaughter loved this kit for her birthday. She blew up the balloon with included straw. We tied it up tight with tie wraps in kit. The glue included was not enough to complete project. We used Elmer school glue and it was fine. You need two people to do this project. One to hold the balloon and one to work with gluey string. ... show more

  • Larger than expected
The media could not be loaded. Fun project with my 9 year old granddaughter. Fairly easy to do, but definitely need 2 sets of hands to wrap the string. The lights are bright and colorful. Finished product makes a beautiful nightlight. Would buy again.

  • Read dimensions
Purchased this as a gift for 8 year old granddaughter for new home. She was thrilled. Went home to assemble and found it a little disappointing. I should have read dimensions more carefully. So, she placed it in her closet and it is very cute there. Lights burned out about 6 months ago, and will look for different brand next time. ... show more

  • Daughter loves it
This was a bit tricky to make, but we had fun and it came out really nice. I wish there were more lights but it still looks great.

  • Turned out nice.
My 11 year old granddaughter loved it. Her mom did have to help her hold the star as she wrapped the yarn and it was messy. It was worth it as it is really pretty and the lights work great. It sparkles in the dark.
