This is a genuine BLTouch made in Korea. It is not the 3D Touch. For those looking, the BLTouch is the best ABL, it is even better than the TH3D EZABL which is nothing but issues with interference since it is an inductive sensor. When you install this, keep in mind you have to flash the firmware and adjust your Z offset. The other person that left a negative review had no idea what he was doing. 1. Install BLTouch 2. Flash firmware by using USB bootloader included. You have several options: coding your own using the Arduino IDE package which already includes the Ender 3, use the TH3D firmware and set it up yourself, use the one from Creality's website which does not include live Z adjust, or use the one provided by Teaching Tech on YouTube. 3. Remove Z limit switch and replace with BLtouch wire 4. Install pin27 header board and BLtouch wire 5. Boot up your Ender3 and reset/initialize eeprom 6. Set your Z-height offset with a sheet of paper under Control 7. You're done! ... show more

Most negative reviews with products like these tend to either be bad production issues (reasonable) or user error. Like all product ratings, assume a PORTION of all bad reviews are probably user error. Hobbist things like this, take some tinkering and the ability to research in order to install properly, very rarely is this stuff plug and play, but that does not mean it is hard to do! Use Youtube, do research on installation and firmware flashing; Teaching Tech, The Edge of Tech, and TH3D, have great videos. Do yourself a favor, if you have the silent mainboard upgrade, you SHOULD already have a bootloader on your printer and you don't really need to use the flash drive and ribbon cable. Hook it up, look into using TH3D's unified firmware and enable your printer type, bltouch, silent board (if applicable), flash the firmware, and you're good to go. TH3D's firmware is a MUST for easy setup. Set your Z offset (Youtube), and you're all done. ... show more

I will admit at first I was nervous about the installation process but as soon as I opened the box I could tell all the pieces were professionally packed and the instructions are very simple and straight forward to follow. I personally installed this on my Ender 3 Pro and have been so happy ever since. It is a must have if you wanna save time and frustration trying to manually level your bed each time. Firmware updates for the BL Touch are super easy using Cura. Just download directly from Creality website and upload it to your printer through Cura. Once it’s installed and your firmware is updated just adjust your Z offset and you’re ready to print away. Overall took about 30 minutes to get everything up and running with it.     • This can solve many problems, but isn't going to solve all problems
Style: 2 bl touch bed
This is my second BLTouch. My first was for a delta printer (AnyCubic Kossel), and this was specifically for a Creality Ender 5 Pro. The delta was a complete mess from day-1 I owned it, and I attempted to add the BL Touch to solve those issue, but never could get consistently good prints. The Ender 5 Pro has been a work-horse since day-1. After just minimal manual bed-leveling I was able to get very consistent prints from it. So, the BL Touch, although convenient, wasn't as make-or-break as it was with my other delta-style printer. That's not to say it's not helpful, because it is. Setup is fairly straight forward, with the only tricky part being when you flash the firmware update to the printer. Wiring is odd, but just follow the guide and you will get there. Once installed, you have 1 setup routine you do to figure out the Z-offset for the BL Tough pin. Once that's done, you simply add the leveling routine to your slicer and you are pretty much off to the races. You will have to repeat the manual Z-offset steps if you alter the print head in any way, for instance switching out the nozzle or even if you just take off the nozzle as that could, and likely will, change the height of the nozzle from the bed. Once the firmware is there, it will perform a leveling process before every print. All-in-all this is more of what I'd call a "luxury item" for the Ender printers, as their leveling process really wasn't hard in the first place. And, again, it doesn't fix "everything". For instance, I still have some rise in one of the corners...it's SUPER slight, but you can see when the print head gets to that corner it's a little more mushed into the bed. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This kit is awesome. I bought this kit for only the bltouch and metal bracket because I personally use SKR boards on all my printers but,I went ahead and flash one of the old stock boards to see how easy it was and it was pretty easy fallowing the instructions. I did also reference Teaching Tech's youtube video. I also use some dupont jumper cables to extend the and took the time to fish the wires from the BL touch to the motherboard through the cable cover that hides all the other cables from the hot end. It was very tedious but I would highly recommend it. ... show more
