BED WELD is engineered to solve these challenges by enhancing your print surface. It grabs hold of that critical first layer when your build surface is hot and refuses to let go with its gecko-like grip. In many cases, you can print without rafts or brims, saving you time and material. Once your print finishes, let your bed cool to room temperature. As it cools, Bed Weld releases its hold, so you don't have to wrestle to get your part off. Typically, your part will fully detach without needing tools. BED WELD comes with a unique applicator that makes applying the coating a simple no mess process. The coating dries quickly when the bed is heated. It forms a thin film that is "not sticky", yet parts will adhere well to it. NOTE: BED WELD was designed for use with heated build plates made from glass. Applying to glass build plates is preferred. I've previously been using glue sticks or hairspray for adhesion when printing on glass build plates. While both options work, they are messier, don't always provide consistent adhesion, and can leave an unwanted finish on the bottom of prints (requiring cleaning and/or sanding). The LAYERNEER bed weld is a fantastic product! Here's what I like about it: - The sponge applicator prevents too much product from coming out and makes it very easy to apply the product only where needed. - After applying and allowing the product to dry (dries by the time the bed is heated), the dried product is clear and leaves a smooth (nearly invisible) layer on top of the print bed. - Since the product dries smooth, there's no chance it will cause imperfections on the bottom of the prints (like chunky glue sticks often do). - The product is water soluable, so it's easy to clean off the build plate with hot water. While not required, a small dab of dish soap adds some lubrication and makes washing easier. - The cap securely twists onto the top of the bottle to protect the foam applicator and keep the product from drying out. - One layer is good for 5-10 prints. LAYERNEER states a wet sponge can be used to recharge the bed weld, but I haven't tried that yet. - While washing the build plate will always yield the best results, I'm able to reapply additional layers of bed weld (as needed) a few times before washing the build plate. Some tips for success: - Check out the image LAYERNEER included in the product description for a list of build plates this product works best with. There are a lot of low star reviews here where customers mention they are using build plates that are not on the suggested list (like textured build plates). - Apply the product when the bed is at room temperature. - Shake the bottle for about 5 seconds before applying. There is a ball inside of the bottle (like in a can of spray paint) that helps mix the product. - Press the sponge applicator straight down until it bottoms out on the build plate to allow the product to moisten the sponge applicator. And then lightly brush the sponge applicator acrosss the build plate to distribute the product where needed (wherever the parts will be placed). - Wait for the product to air dry before printing if not using a heated bed. If using a heated bed, the product will be dry by the time the bed reaches the target temperature. - After a print has completed, wait for the bed to cool down to room temperature for easier/cleaner removal. I've been 3D printing (mostly on glass build plates) since 2015. The LAYERNEER bed weld is the best product I've used so far. My only disappointment is that it took me this long to find a product that consistently works well. I'll definitely be purchasing LAYERNEER bed weld again in the future (use Subscribe & Save to save 15%).

My first bottle lasted 4 years. Works perfectly. Those that are having issues (very few of you) are having Z adjustment errors. I've never had an issue with prints moving while using this product. I've recommended this product to hundreds of other users on various printing websites. Use this very sparingly when applying to the build surface. The lightest coating works best. Make sure you've cleaned your build plate, cleaned again with 90% alcohol and apply. I do this for every print. It's a great product and I'm on my second bottle after thousands of hours of use.

This stuff works great on my Kobra Max 3 print bed. A single bottle has lasted though many weeks of printing and is still going. Easy to clean off (I use isopropyl alcohol you can get at the grocery store) and the bed cleans right up for a new application. I was having trouble with printing coming loose or lifting at corners for long prints. This stuff solved that completely. I wouldn’t 3D print without it. There’s no harsh smell and it dries fast on the warm bed. Good adhesion across different filament types and brands as well. This is cheap insurance for keeping those long complicated prints from getting horked (a technical term 🤣) and having to reprint. Definitely recommended.

Works extremely well across the board for my Prusa i3 Mk3S with both the smooth steel sheet and the textured PEI sheet. Easily warping plastics love to stick to this stuff. Be warned though: If you use bed temps higher than 80C or so, extreme adhesion can occur on flat build plates. When I attempted to remove an easily-warping polycarbonate print from the smooth sheet, it pulled a chunk of the sheet off of the metal surface. I had never seen this happen before with steel sheets. Seems like the bottle's warning of this is absolutely accurate. Be sure to follow the instructions! Surprisingly, this absolutely works on the PEI sheet as well. Prusa claims that the PEI sheet needs no adhesives of any kind-- I've found this to not be the case with all bed types. Not strong enough to get materials like Nylon to stick, but the only way around that would be to use a Garolite build surface. While Bed Weld appears to be better than glue sticks, there's no need to switch if glue sticks work well for you. You can easily get two years worth of glue sticks for the price of one bottle of Bed Weld. All in all: Better than a glue stick, applicator is nice, one coats lasts for several prints. One bottle can last through six months of daily prints, easily.

I print for a living. 3dprintedbagpipes.com, actually. Check me out! Anyway, ALL my prints are one at a time and printed vertically. And they're all VERY TALL! Tall prints fall over very easily. I've tried hairspray (waste of money), glue stick (messy, and only works some of the time), so I figured I'd try this one. I liked the applicator, and because you let it dry BEFORE you print, I don't have to race against my preheat to get it on the bed while it's still sticky. THIS STUFF ROCKS!!!!! I now print Bagpipe Chanters, and they're 14" tall, and I can print them without a brim, without a raft, and without worry a bit! I LOVE THIS STUFF! I'M GOING TO PUT IT ON MY WEDDING CAKE WHEN I GET MARRIED! I'M GOING TO NAME MY FIRSTBORN AFTER THIS STUFF!!! Yeah, the only part of that that's true is me loving this stuff. But seriously, it's a fantastic product. Don't bother with hairspray, glue stick, or any of that other crap. Go with Bed Weld! No Warping, No ripping the print off the bed, NO FAILS!!! I used to have TONS of fails.... It was always a gamble. I've attached pictures of some of my more pathetic and infuriating fails. But also some BED WELD WINS!!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!! See those pictures of prints? Those are all printed VERTICALLY with NO bed adhesion from the slicer. Just Bed Weld!

I don’t know what kind of sorcery is in this bottle, but once I applied Bed Weld Original, my print bed entered a binding lifelong commitment with my filament. ABS? Didn’t budge. PLA? Clung like it owed me money. PETG? Practically fused at a molecular level. Before Bed Weld, my prints warped, lifted, and abandoned me halfway through like a bad blind date. Corners curling, spaghetti disasters, emotional damage. After Bed Weld? Dead flat. Perfect adhesion. Zero drama. The first time I used it, I actually checked to make sure I hadn’t accidentally welded the part to the Earth’s core. Prints go down smooth, stay put through the entire job, and then—miraculously—release when cooled like they’re politely excusing themselves from the table. No mess. No weird smells. No ritual sacrifices required. Just a thin layer and boom—your printer suddenly behaves like it went to finishing school. If you’re tired of chasing warped corners, re-leveling for the 47th time, or whispering threats to your printer at 2 a.m., buy this glue. My only complaint is that it works so well I now trust my printer more than most people. 10/10. Would bond again.

Update: Nearly two months later I'm using the same thin application. I haven't even reconditioned or applied anything! I have printed 15+ models of various sizes and it still adheres to the bed the same as the first application. I could toss my spatula because even my skirts pop off with a slight nudge with my fingernail. Original review: This stuff is amazing. After using an Ender 3 Pro for a couple years I got a CR-10 S5. I have always used glue stick on a glass bed for good ahesion. However, now having a 500mm bed, I didn't like that sometimes you get clumps, patches and overlapping spread, which you can see on the bottom surface after any residue is removed. I have used this on a few prints so far and I'm blown away. After this stuff is dry it almost feels rubbery and you can barely notice it's there unless the light hits it right. The texture on the bottom of the prints is more of an even, but kind of a wavey glass effect, which is much consistent and smoother than with the glue stick. I like it. I also used a wet paper towel to reuse the first application for the next print. Be mindful of your bed temps. The included user guide shows the recommended printing temperatures for different types of filament. They mention not to go too hot or you will have trouble removing your print from your bed. So far, I have only printed PLA at my normal 55C (60C recommended) and it has worked really, really well; even after I had reused the first application. While cooling you can hear the prints separating more than I would with the glue stick. In fact, I would say my prints using this bed weld have been easier to remove as I haven't needed to use my putty knife yet. I'm excited to try this on my Ender 3 Pro with ABS because the recommended bed temp is only 80C and I usually run105C with glue stick, but still get an occasional slight warping on edges. Since this worked so well I went ahead and started a day and a half print job and went to bed. I woke up to my giant glass bed on the floor, print still attached lol. I had a filament tangle that somehow got involved with some accessories and unexpectedly pulled the glass bed off, leaving only two of the four binder clips Attached to the glass. That freak accident has proven this stuff works amazingly well. I got the printer situated a couple hours later and reused the same adhesive application without reconditioning and it's working great; you couldn't even tell there was anything printed on it previously. I feel this stuff is going to last me longer than I originally had thought. Highly recommended!

PRE-NOTE: The issues could be MY bed on my Ender 3 V2, or MY damp basement. So take the comments as you will. I will give it a go again under better conditions in a few months in a better environment after moving house. OK, so I've tried many times, but results are hit and miss on whether it sticks well enough. I got so frustrated I stopped using my printer for 3 months. Recently came back and tried using layeneer again, this time on smooth perfectly clean glass multiple times (as advised by layerneer on email), multiple cleans and degreasing. It was 'better' but still didn't stick. I have NOT sent my files to layerneer as requested because this is personal prototype work. Bottomline, it's hit and miss if it sticks, and I'm not going to waste more money on it. I've said it before, and I have ZERO to do with with the company, but Vision Miner Nano Adhesive is THE product I have had 100% success rate with. I HATE the cost of the nano as it's 50 dollars for the 100ml, which doesn't last that long, but if you NEED long prints to stick then buy that instead. Layeneer might be good enough for short run prints if you don't mind losing some. Sorry layerneer guys. I got your email previously, and acted on your advice 3 months after receiving it, but results were still not good. If you come out with a competing product to the VN stuff, I'll gladly buy it and give it a go.
