  • Great beginner system
A great beginner system with training videos included. You will need a backup power plan. Battery is small and doesn't last long. Auto splice works very well. Everything included.

  • Terrible camera
The picture quality is terrible. The video quality is also terrible. Don't waste your money. I will keep looking for a 360 camera that also does vr too. This does not do VR i did know that when i bought it but i thought the picture quality would be better. Battery life was terrible i charged it last 15 min. ... show more

  • Does the job I guess
I mean it does work as intended, mostly. The app does work and takes images and video and saves it to your SD card correctly but streaming doesn't work and the logo doesn't show up on images and videos when its turned on and shown in the preview. Its very buggy and sometimes the WiFi just so turns off even when I'm charging the camera and sometimes it just freezes the preview when I'm walking taking pictures with my helmet. The camera is decent I guess, Except for the alignment of the lenses. Theres a seam down the side that can't be adjusted in anyway unless you take it apart and do something about it. The quality isn't the worst but it isn't high quality unless your looking at it from far away lol. Its hard to plug in the charger and screw the mount to the phone at the same time and the camera is loose in the mount for it being screwed to only one side. Now For what I a originally wanted the camera for. Google Street View. It is NOT Google Street View Ready not what it claims to be. I mean if you download it from the camera and upload it to the app it will work that way but they just strait up lied. So I mean for it being the cheapest camera I could find its not that bad cause it works. ... show more

  • On board real-time stitching.
I would recommend this for anyone who doesn't need a high-resolution 3D virtual - it's the only consumer line camera that I know of that has onboard stitching (GoPro has the fusion and 360 but stitching the videos makes it unusable for the business that I have.) As soon as I download the videos to my pc I can watch them immediately on VLC using the mouse to pan and zoom. I got a couple extra in case they go off the market because I don't know when anybody's gonna come around and do this kind of thing again it seems like it's phasing out. The price is phenomenally low for what you get. ... show more

  • Not as bad as they say..
For $65 I think I got a pretty good deal. Granted, it's not the greatest camera in the world. In low light it has a lot of graininess; so much that at first I thought I had a ton of dead pixels. But it's fine in the daylight. It does support the resolutions advertised. That said, I've taken to calling it "The Webcam of 3D Action Cameras". It's definitely nothing to write home about. And the company is out of business, so you won't be getting any updates. You CAN still get firmware updates from their website (and you will need the latest one to get the PC connection to work). Also, there is a utility (its' just an empty file you put on the SD card) that tells the camera to work as a webcam. But, you can either do one or the other, so to get back into normal mode you have to delete the file on the SD card (you'll need a card reader to do that). Battery life is pretty short, but it will last long enough to fill up a 64gig memory card (which is about 30 minutes of video @4k). Compression leaves something to be desired, but it's still better than what I was expecting (at $65 I was expecting it to make AVI files). And there is a little door on the bottom that covers the sd card and the power connector, that if you use a standard tripod will be covered; meaning that you won't be able to run it from USB without an adapter. And they advertise said adapter on their website ($14.99 for a little aluminum riser). But you can't get it because the company is out of business. BUT... If you spin the big fat nut off of the little bendy tripod they give you, and replace it with a standard nut, then there is plenty of room for the door to open. All things considered, I'd say that even without and future tech support, it's worth grabbing. ... show more

  • Great Idea, Great Price, Horrible experience
The unit I received would not fully charge, I've charged it for 6 hours before attempting to use but the LED never turned green or never went out. I tried to use a 32G card and was able to format it, but when I tried to take a picture/video it would say that I need to insert a card (or the card was removed). I tried a 32G and a 128G U1 card with same issue I was able to connect via WiFi twice but not since. I get the message that my (WiFi) password is incorrect. I'm hoping this was a new unit as the shrink wrap was kinda wonky. I did request a replacement so we will see how that goes. I'll update this when I try a "Hopefully good unit". Received the replacement unit and went on an outing and recorded to 64GB cards worth of video. Only to find out that without doing a firmware update the footage is useless. After updating the firmware to the latest version available all recordings afterwards were useable. Daytime video is bearable even with the settings set to 6K, but did not look anything in the HD realm. Taking video at night is even worse. For the life of me I could not get the date and time to sync. All of my videos and pictures had time stamps from random dates. If the quality of the video and pictures would've fallen into the "useable" state I would've kept the camera. The design of the camera was great if the video quality was better, it would be something that I would pay a few hundred for. But as is I can't get myself to keep any of the test footage. ... show more

  • High value item. Great performance even if it's not $400.
The videos are very clear. They run on the Windows 10 viewer (be sure to visit their website to get the latest firmware). The stitching and the lens overlap wrap around are very good. I also like the form factor of the penguin, much easier to handle. The simplicity of the user interface is fantastic. Overall I am impressed with the product. I was so impressed I bought two more. ... show more
