We had been waiting for a fire pit for ages! A lot of the ones we had seen were either way too small, or way too big, or too high tech, or whatever. For us, this one is exactly the right size. It's modern looking, and fits the aesthetic of our house very well. I love the removable and adjustable cook top, as this is appropriate for a variety of circumstances. It does need to be assembled upon arrival, but it took me less than 30 minutes. Of course, the wrap around table is super handy. My favorite part is: It's sturdy and durable, but not heavy at all. I have been looking for the right model of a fire pit with a grill for a while, wanted it to be the right size and shape. The Vedeluxe 36” firepit fit the bill. It was very easy to assemble, and I actually combined it with a simpler firepit ring I used for leaf burning. The outcome gave me exactly what I wanted. Even though I planned to start using it in a month or so, when it was warmer, but I could not resist it, and cooked the dinner on it right away. It was great and would have gotten all the stars if not for one major flaw: the material of the grill grid is cheap, it started bending in the first use from 2 pounds of veggies. I will need to order a new one, hopefully the same size/shape can be found in a better material. ... show more

    • Small, and Impractical for Grilling
It is a nice fire pit to sit around in the evening in the yard. However, a close study tells me that we will be using the charcoal grill for cooking. This is a neat idea, but it is too hard to control the cooking temperature for serious cooking. For some-mores or hotdogs on a stick it is fine, but a grill top is not needed for those. Its compact size is ideal for the average family to bring out for entertaining and put away when not in use. ... show more
