I have had this on my trailer for just 2 months and the tooth that locks into the gears somehow has bent and become soft. I trailered my boat to the mechanic and thank God I had straps on the back on the boat because I had over a foot of play in my bow strap. I tightened it up, with teeth engaged to lock and was able to literally tap the handle and it broke free, which is exactly what happened on the first bump I hit when I was going down the road. Buyer beware! This could cost you literally millions of dollars if your boat comes off your trailer and hits someone or something!

Only time will tell if it is truly rust proof. So many of these so called made for boat trailers out of China isn't rust proof. This was installed on our salt water boat trailer out of socal. Easy to install. Easy to use.
