Using this as a winch on my 16’ trailer, can easily pull items up the ramps that are motor less or disabled. Functional for many purposes, good size for my needs. Great value for me.

The instructions were sort of clear, definitely could have used some clarity. However, that being said, if you're planning on "DIY"ing this winch install you should get familiar with how they are set up. As for the winch itself, it seems very solid and good quality. I was surprised for how cheap it was. The blue and yellow wires were very short and didn't allow me to install the box up away from the water so I did lengthen them. The instructions say it cannot be installed upside down, but on a Honda ATV that is the only way to install one. That would have been good to put in the product description before you buy it. . ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This little winch is perfect! I welded the plate directly to a 2" square tube so I could use it on both the front and back of my ATV. (or any other light-vehicle with a receiver hitch). 3500lbs might not be much, but when you double it up with a pulley you can get 7K of power out of this tiny, light winch. Another benefit of the receiver hitch is that I can store it inside a toolbox. -Away from rain and UV light. This might become more important as companies switch to synthetic cables. This is my first synthetic rope winch, so I'm not sure how well it will hold up, but at this price who cares? If it saves me a few times then it was worth every penny. Very fast when unloaded. The remote has good range. Cables were perfect for my setup. I left them long so I could adapt a connector on several different vehicles. Great price on a really nice winch! ... show more
