This is a fantastic purchase. I rarely write reviews, yet I was compelled to for this. System bootup takes 3-5 seconds at most. It turns on and off with car start, no manual start up necessary. Automatically connects to Apple Carplay (probably Android Connect but can't be certain). Very importantly, the audio signal connects via FM radio and the volume (unlike many others) is normalized correctly. Radio volume does not need to be loud to hear it correctly. This eliminates the background buzz. If your dashboard is flat, use the holder, it is a fantastic look. The system is sufficiently responsive. Not iPad speed, but no lag when bringing up map or music player. So all that said, it behaves like an in-dash unit! The base is flat so if your dashboard is curved, you'll have to accommodate. I used Alien tape and that worked great even on my curved dash. You won't need to purchase anything else besides this to have an integrated car experience for your vehicle. It also has backup camera and a forward camera if you want to use that as well. Nutshell version: Get this, you won't be disappointed. FYI: I bought this for about $70, can't beat it. ... show more

highly recommend this for the honda element (or any vehicle) mounted on your dash in front of steering wheel. completely modernizes a 20+ year old SUV. both cameras work seamlessly when installed properly and is very easy to install. the location I chose to mount this might seem like it would obstruct your view driving but honestly fits perfectly without being a distraction and allows you to use google maps more efficiently with an easier glance than most center located infotainment screens. there are other brands out there that cost more but look and feel cheaper. I really like the fact that this one is square and thinner which gives it a much more modern look and feel. feels like this is something that came stock with the vehicle design enough to the point where I do not feel the need to upgrade my head unit since this is all my honda element really needed. I would recommend this for anyone looking for apple CarPlay to add to their own car ... show more

    • Definitely a good unit, but not perfect
I've been using this since June 2025 and it's not Feb 2026, so I've been rocking with this for a while. I got this because my built-in CarPlay/Android Auto didn't work well with my Android and the sound would cut out. This display works consistently and streaming music and using GPS have been perfect. The included charger shorted out, but that was my fault. I've been using a different charger with no issues. The video streaming isn't worth using though. If you're looking to be able to watch videos, don't. It will frustrate you. I have tried this with both my iPhone 15 Pro and my S23 Ultra. I also cannot connect this to my car with Bluetooth. I have been using an aux cord to stream from the car. The built-in speakers aren't worth using as they're very tiny and do not sound good, but that is to be expected. I haven't tried connecting this via FM radio, but I think I will and then update with the results. I'd love to eliminate one cable from the setup if possible, which is why I wanted Bluetooth to work. ... show more

For the most part, it works and records like it’s supposed to. Only issue, that started happening like two weeks after use, is that it would randomly restart itself and when it cuts back on, it won’t even record anything. When it does that, you have to unplug it and then plug it back in. The video quality is okay. The adhesives that comes with it aren’t any good at all. The wireless connections works pretty well. I wouldn’t have this as your main source for a dashcam, but it’s a good CarPlay screen. ... show more

    • Could have been the perfect screen but it is far from it! Very Buggy and awful screen!
I had very high hopes for this unit. I wanted to replace an older unit that I was using in my car, but this one was advertised with more and better features. So I bought it. Upon receiving it, I was very glad that this unit has a different way of mounting it on my dashboard, which is exactly what I needed, a way to mount it flat on my dashboard. The rotating camera is also a nice feature, and it seems to be of decent quality. That's about all good i can say about this unit. Now to the rest. The screen colors are very washed out and dull, unlike the older unit i was replacing, on this unit, the screen brightness sensor doesn't work; you set it to auto, and the screen brightness doesn't change. In order to increase the screen brightness, I have to set it to manual, and turn it up all the way to the maximum level which is 100, and still like that, the screen is not very bright, and again, the colors are very pale and not vibrant at all. Connectivity is an issue, and doesn't have to do with phone compatibility, as I tested it with 3 different phones, and with all three it behaves the same way. If you connect it for Android Auto, you must always use the option of Audio and Phone calls on your phone's bluetooth connection for this screen, unlike the other unit i was replacing, which allowed me to use the screen just for maps and navigation, and set the call and audio features to off on the bluetooth' phone menu, this one must always be used for calls and audio in order for it to connect and show the maps. If you turn the audio and call features off, the unit won't connect to your phone the next time you turn on your car. And you will have to clear all connections, and pair this screen to the phone again. About the audio, if you connect the supplied 3.5mm audio cable to this screen, you do get sound from your phone through you car's speakers, but you also get sound from the screen's built in speakers, so if you're listening to some music, you get this distorted sound because your car speakers sound good, but the unit's smaller speakers sound awful, and it distort the sound in your car. It should be that if you connect the 3.5mm output on this unit, it would disable the unit's internal speakers, to allow the sound to just output through the 3.5mm sound output. Another thing that doesn't work well, is the settings on Android Auto, if you set Android Auto to switch between night and day mode automatically, it doesn't work, the screen always stays in day mode. The software on this unit is very buggy, and the functions don't work well as they should. And the screen quality is very bad, not bright and not vibrant at all. I regret having purchased this screen to replace another unit like this one but older, which really worked well, and all the functions mentioned above worked without any bugs, with instant connection to my phone every time, with or without the Call and Audio settings disabled on my phone's Bluetooth. For reference, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and my wife's phone is an Iphone 16 Pro Max, my son's phone is a google pixel. Got this for my Ram 1500 and mounted it on the dash above the other screen, fit's perfectly where the coin shelf is. Performs just like my other cars Android Auto, with the added benefit of always recording your driving. I utilize the Bluetooth for audio through the main radio system, but they all work together smoothly. I had an issue with the micro memory cards not being recognized, and after reaching out to customer service they responded immediately and promptly and helped me understand that I had to format the cards while in the device through the device format option. Problem solved. I haven't hooked up the backup camera so I can't speak to that function. The mirror function does work, but it's kind of pointless as the screen really isn't that much bigger horizontally than my phone screen. Also, I haven't tried to take clips off the device for review, to do that you have to disconnect android auto. All in all it does the job for what I need. ... show more

Received the device like a week ago and it seems to work fine overall . Just ordered this specific one because of the stand brackets that allows to mount it like oem units and make it more appealing but unfortunately that bracket was not in the package so I had to contact customer service and they decided to send me the bracket. The support team is fast and very helpful which is a plus. So my technical specs review is that the boot time is fast maybe under 3s.the screen size is great and display resolution is really decent , this is not a 1000 dollars device so don’t expect Qled or Oled quality but for the price is really good upgrade to any old unit.touchscreen is very responsive and processing have some lag sometimes wich is to be expected but nothing major. Connection is fast and stable so far no issues with that. Using it for Apple CarPlay mainly. From camera is very clear and crisp, haven’t test back camera yet. Will update with pictures once I receive the bracket and get it properly installed. ... show more

    • Decent CarPlay Screen, But It Can't Handle Summer Heat

This is a decent enough standalone CarPlay screen when it's working properly. The interface is responsive and not overly sluggish, the unit has a genuine AUX output, and the camera quality is acceptable. I would also take the "4K" claim with a grain of salt. Like many inexpensive dash cams advertised as 4K, the image quality appears similar to the vast majority of units using smaller, lower-resolution sensors and doesn't come close to what I would consider true 4K image quality. It's usable, but don't buy it expecting professional-quality video. The major problem, however, is heat resistance. I live in Tennessee, which certainly isn't the hottest part of the USA, but the summer temperatures have already caused problems. The enclosure has started to delaminate, and on warmer days the unit will frequently shut itself off. I've experienced this even when outside temperatures were as low as around 80°F. That makes it difficult to recommend as a dashboard-mounted device. A car sitting outside in the sun can become significantly hotter than the outside temperature, so any device designed to live on a dashboard really needs to be able to withstand those conditions. It's a shame, because the basic functionality is good enough. Unfortunately, the poor heat resistance means it fails at one of the most important requirements for a dashboard screen. ... show more
