I am using the dehumidifier in our large basement bedroom with 2 adjoining rooms. It is keeping the humidity at a steady 45 as it is set. The bucket is small and easily spills water when trying to remove it but the hose drain works like a dream. Would definitely purchase again.

I was really impressed by how well this dehumidifier worked. It brought the humidity level down by several percentage points in the first day, and kept it down. And it is relatively quiet. However, the noise it makes has a certain pitch -- I imagine it wouldn't bother most people, but I've always had some sensitivity around high-pitched noises and this gave me a headache. I gave it to a friend who wanted one for her basement and won't often be near it. For me, this was supposed to be in my work space so I had to find a different option. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My video describes the entire issue. The cap is stuck and now I can’t access the tubing mechanism to drain. It’s also now leaking on my floor even while off which shows an internal sealing issue. Overall, I think this was a waste of money because of the cost and the clear design flaw with the cap (no leverage if it seals too tight, which I KNOW for a fact I didn’t overly seal at the time of use, this was purely due to the faulty design of the cap). This is a perfect case of “when it works, it works, when it doesn’t, it’s useless.” Right now, it’s useless to me and I won’t be recommending the product at this price after having it less than a year. ... show more

I bought this for our walk-out basement. There is a family room, bedroom, bathroom and storage room down there and this works great! The first few days it ran continuously but I could see the humidity level number decreasing. Now that it's in the humidity level that I set it only runs when it gets above that level. It totally eliminated that musty basement smell. It's small, compact and fairly light - easy to move around. My only "con" is that the drain basin is fairly small. When it was running continuously I had to empty the basin 3-4 times a day. Now that's it's reached the level that I want I just empty it as needed, so maybe once a day - even if it's not full. I would recommend this, it's quiet enough that it doesn't bother anyone watching tv or playing down there. Good purchase. ... show more

We recently moved and the basement is humid. I have run this little guy for over a month and it does fabulous! Easy to use and move. The instruction manual isn't very useful but it's pretty easy to figure out. I use the extracted water to water my plants so nothing goes to waste. Filter is easy to clean, too. It is somewhat noisy but I'd rather avoid humidity, so it's a trade-off. Definitely worth the money compared to other units of similar square foot coverage. ... show more
