This rechargable utility light has 4 operating modes (constant on, daytime sensor, nighttime sensor, and off). The difference between daytime and nighttime sensor is the conditions for it to trigger. In nighttime sensor mode it will only trigger if the area is dark, in daytime sensor mode it will only trigger if the area is not dark. The sensitivity of the sensor is very good and the area sensed is wide. The light will dim from between 10% and 100%. It does so smoothly, without jumping from one light level to the next. There are 3 color temperatures (3000K - warm, 4000K - natural, and 6000K - daylight). All three temperatures will dim. This light has 1500 mAh battery, which isn't a lot. If the light is left in constant on mode, the light will last less than 10 hours (depending on the brightness and color temperature). In sensor mode they estimate up to 60 days (triggered 5 to 8 times a day, again depending on brightness and color temperature). An 8" USB-A to USB-C charging cable is included with each light. The light will not operate in sensor mode (nighttime or daytime) while being charged. However, it will operate in constant on mode while charging, so you could have it 'hardwired' if you only wanted it to light all the time. There are two controls, power/mode and light type . Power turns it on/off and sets the sensor modes (repeated presses go from mode to mode). Light type changes the color temperature or dims the light (repeated presses change color temperature, holding the button goes between dim and bright). There are two magnetic plates on each light. The magnetic plates have adhesive on one side. The plate positioning is critical. If you move the plates side to side the magnetic attraction diminishes, so there is a specific position where they must be located (pictured). These were exactly what I needed. I received two lights that are each flat and about 12 inches long. They each have two little magnetic stickers with magnet on one side and sticker on the other. After charging, I lined the lights up under two cabinets that are on each side of the sink. Once I found the right placement, I removed the backing from the stickers and placed the lights under the cabinets. They stuck fine and the lights can easily be removed for charging or adjusting the lights. Each light came with a short USB to USB C charging cable. They charged up in a few hours. One of the cool things about these lights is that they have 3 brightness modes and a motion detection mode. The motion detection is awesome. When I get near the cabinets they turn on. I don't end up wasting the charge when I'm not around. There is a power button and brightness button on each one. The directions were kind of iffy, but cycle though and find the brightness you like and then push one of the buttons until the light flashes and you are in motion detect mode. I love these lights so much! There's a few different settings on how you want them to work . I have mine on the motion sensing setting and on the warm light . They always work when I walk by . The adhesives are genius ! its a magnet set . One side goes on your cabinet and the other side goes on the light . You can easily take the light on and off when you need to charge it . . The only complaint I have is the battery life . I wish it lasted longer . The charge usually lasts about 2 days before I have to charge them again and they take a while to charge . ... show more

I was originally going to return this product, but the company reached out to me and fixed my issues. I installed it in my bathroom and it does work well. I do wish it came with a charger outside of that it’s a good product.
