This are thin and cheap, but what would you expect for less that $2 a piece. Did check all of the tablets and they were all working. You can replace the battery, there is a small screw you unscrew and the housing for the battery slides out of the case. Would be pretty easy to do. These accomplish what my wife wanted to do with them (she is a 2nd grade teacher). As long as you don't have unreasonable expectations, I think these would be fine for simple doodling. ... show more

They held up well to being drawn on for hours. Some kids were extremely rough on them and they held up great. Every one of my doodle boards worked, no issues. We got these as gift bag items for a Summer Party and the kids LOVED them. Even the teenagers and some of the adults. I also got a couple packs of waterproof stickers to decorate the backs and help personalize the boards. Everyone loved it. The boards are nice and bright and I love that the pencils clip in for easy storage. I bought some nylon cord to tie the pencils to the boards using the holes at the top and the pencils still fit in their spots just fine. I recommend a bowline knot if you do this. Very secure.
